Anyone else find this season nearly as dull as Tocantins? |

So far, this season is pretty boring. I mean, I don't even know some of the names of some of them and we have done 4 episodes. A lot of the cast just seem
dull and not going to produce any drama. Plus the shoving of Russell down our throats every episode is starting to get old fast.

Tocantins started interesting and then went to shit. Can't really compare thus far.

The pre-merge episodes are never interesting, but that we've gotten to know Galu, it's the incompetent vs. the idiots.

This season is far better than Tocantins could have ever hoped to be. There's so much to laugh at in Samoa. Sure, the editing is shit, but I've
learned to enjoy the little moments now. Plus the players are more obnoxious this season, which is fun to watch when they fail. I can't possibly see any
person winning this season, so I'll be in for at least 1 surprise.
Remember anything that happened pre-merge in Tocantins? Me neither. |

I liked Sandy a lot. She's probably the only "character" in recent seasons I didn't hate.

The pre-merge episodes of Tocantins were miles better than the crap 'Coach, The Wizard and the Warrior' show it became after Brendan left.
The first four Samoa episodes have been MILES better than the pre-merge Tocantins episodes. So, IMO, Samoa has been superior.... so far. |

I was sceptical about Samoa at first, but I have really enjoyed the last two episodes. If it keeps up, this season will be way better than Tocantins (and
Gabon).

Nope. Not even close. Here in Samoa we have two absolute trainwrecks (except one always gets it together in challenges) and trainwrecks are always fun to
watch. And Russell surely won't win, so he is bound to get owned at some point, so we have something to look forward to.

I would like to see Russell's fat body covered in honey,
then have him tied up and left on the ground next to a colony of red fire ants. Seeing him in pain would give me immense pleasure considering that watching him so far this season is like having pins pushed into your eyes. I vote for this to be considered the next immunity idol challange. Seeing them squirm and scream would be fun as the ants do their work...... |

To digress, why the fuck did Probst label Tocantins one of the top 5 seasons ever? In retrospect, it was so fucking boring...

I think it's a better cast than Gabon or Tocantins, or at least the leaders emerging are way more competent. Ladies probably won't like this season
though, because the girls are pretty much all floating and praying rather than getting a fucking plan.

I actually liked Tocantins, aside from that one really pathetic episode (the one where Coach lost the IC and pretended to be in soooo much pain, and the
episode he was voted out--not sure if that was the same one or not). At least we were given the chance to know people.
This season, I'm totally and completely indifferent towards, and that's never happened with a season of Survivor for me (I've enjoyed all of them except Fiji--some more than others). I just don't know how to feel about it. It has/had potential to be really good, but The Russell Variety Hour is bringing this season way down for me. |

I feel like i could come to hate Russell if they hadn't shoved him down our throats

SuperJude wrote: You would. GO RED SOX!!! Anyway, I thought Tocantins took forever to get interesting. They spent pretty much the entire pre-merge hyping up the Exile Alliance, and it only made me that much more excited when the Exile Alliance got Coachowned. I thought the post-merge was pretty good if you ignore some aspects (Tyson getting out before Sierra, the f6 episode, too much time on JT/Stephen), but right up until the point when Erinn got out, I found the post-merge pretty interesting. It probably would've been even better if JT lost immunity at F4. If only... |
