I love waiting for the Seacrest reference every week. Has this been discussed here yet?

I wasn't sure about this show, but tonight was a home run. Shirley stole the show.

That is all. |

I'm loving the fact that they close with Troy and Abed every week... that is easily one of my favorite dyanmics on the show, and they have barely had any
dialogue between each other sans for the credits.
This cast has really meshed together quickly. The dialogue is sharp, the jokes are connecting, everything is working. I get excited to watch this every week. |

I agree with all that The Sov said above. This show delivers each week, the characters are quickly growing on me, and it is now easily my 2nd favorite sitcom
after The Office (though, to be fair, there really isn't any competition in sitcoms anymore).

I'm so frightened that NBC is going to cancel this because it's an NBC show that I actually like. My protective instinct that I used to have for Chuck
I am now officially transferring to this show.

5.1 million last night (compared to 7.7 premiere)...doesn't look to good.

daggers44 wrote: Ehh, that can be seen as a typical drop off number. Not to mention the time switch and if it held steady at 7.7, it would be the highest rated show on NBC! Plus, from the last numbers I saw, Parks & Rec are pulling numbers in the low 2's. NBC is such a mess right now, I would be a little shocked if this didn't at the very least get a full season. The network has nothing else to offer and MUCH bigger concerns.

I've never seen Parks & Rec (or the Office) but I tuned in for a few minutes after Community. I thought it was kind of lame. Plus, it seems to be a
direct rip off of The Office, based on what I've seen from advertisements alone.
You just can't go wrong with Joel McHale in a close fitting t-shirt. |

Abed IS the Phoebe of this show!
Love that Shirley's not doing the sassy black mama stereotype. She's hillarious as the cheery perky mom. This last episode was probably their best use of Chevy imo. Including his assuming the spanish teach was talking about him re the racist comments. |

<--- I don't think anybody's going to be shocked that I'm already in love with Annie, the cute smarter-than-thou brunette girl <3
"Go kill John Lennon again, you loser!" may have been the hardest I laughed at a sitcom line since Michael Scott signed up for an online dating service as "LittleKidLover." |

Did anyone else watch last night?? Dear Lord was it fantastic.
Chevy was classic with all the copyright infrignment. It's really cool to see them give Brita some flaws, important element that a lot of shows fail to do with their "rightous" characters. The Jury/Pool stuff owned big time. Every distraction away from the case was right on the money and perfectly timed. Abed/Troy finally having interacting in an episode was made of total win. "We ran over budget" was hysterical. The pencil gag at the end was also hilarious. This and Modern Family have found such great rhythms so early on it is almost scary. |

Last night's episode this show actually reached a new peak of funny. The mascot was terribly creepy. Was that Abed in the suit?
Troy and Jeff's "that's racist" exchange was freaking hillarious. Same with the Abed/Troy moment at the end when the security guards busted in. Even the girl's bathroom side story was decent character development for the blonde chick. "Not being racist is the new racism." |

I agree with everything you said, mike. I just flove this show.
And, yeah, I am 99.9% sure that was Abed in the Human Being mascot costume. The writing is fantastic and the cast is superb. I am even loving Chevy Chase again. |

I like it. It has its moments. But I don't find myself looking forward to it each week like I do Modern Family.

I really love Abed. His lines are always delivered in the most dry way possible. "Will they or won't they? Sexual tension." The only negative
with this week's episode was that there was not enough of Abed.
Oh omg, I literally laughed out loud |

I could definitely relate to Troy's character this week....not that I was any good at football, but for me it was music. I was really good at singing, but
I hated that it became super competitive and stressful, so I dropped out of it all for college. Then I found myself really missing the funness of it, and
joined the first choir I could for non-music majors, haha.
I thoroughly enjoyed this week's episode and found myself understanding the women's restroom so much more...Also, yay at the lack of Ken Jeong this week...I find him horribly annoying... |

Holy crap, NBC's doing something I like. Full season pickup, woot!
NBC orders full season of Community and 2 other shows |
