NUMBER 22:
Anywho, Katherine Heigl plays Jane, a serial bridesmaid (who's also a
serial wedding planner for said weddings). It seems as though none of her friends have ANY style because she gets stuck with gems like these:
She has a HUGE crush on her boss, George, who she dreams about on a regular basis. One day, her sister, Tess (Malingoddess) comes into town. George ends up falling for Tess and they soon end up getting engaged. Jane is a bridesmaid, OBVIOUSLY, and she has the tedious job of organizing and planning their wedding.
While the happy couple spends time together, Jane meets a pretty good looking reporter (my favorite kind) who writes about weddings mainly. He wears these weird sun glasses the whole movie to prevent lazers from shooting out of his eyes… named Cyclops, I MEAN Kevin. OH DAMN, WRONG MOVIE.
This movie also has the actress that will appear in my again, and she was the actress I mentioned from Jawbreaker, Judy Greer (as dashbrdparadise pointed out). She plays Jane's friend Casey.
After spending lots of time with Cyclops, she shows him all her dresses, they spend time together… he falls for her, she doesn't notice… Then his boss ends up reading and printing the story he's doing about her, BEFORE it was finished, how rude!! Jane sees it, gets mad and never wants to see him again. Following that, Jane gives one hell of a jealous speech at the rehearsal dinner, the pictures behind her on the presentation depict what a glorious !@%@@#% her sister is and why any man would be lucky to be with her. George is pissed that everything he learned about Tess was a lye (what a great actress she is), they call off the wedding, blah blah blah. She tells George that she loves him, they kiss… feel nothing and that's the end of that.
SHE FINALLY becomes a bride when her and Cyclops get back together, and she has all the friends who she was a bridesmaid for weiring the hideous dresses that they made her wear, standing up there by her side on the day she becomes a wife. George also runs into Tess at the wedding, and they get back together for another go… he clearly couldn't live without her.
Casey: Hey, do you want to come over to my place before the party? Some of the guys from shipping are coming, and they're bringing tequila and bubble wrap.
Casey: He asks if you want a drink. You smile and say, "Vodka soda". If you already have a drink, you down it. Then there's some flirting, some interoffice sex, an accidental pregnancy, a shot gun wedding, and a life of bliss. How many times do we have to go over this? (after George offers Jane a drink and she declines)
Jane's Aunt: Must be so hard to watch your younger sister get married before you. Jane: Yes. Then I remember that I still get to have hot sex with random strangers and I feel so much better!!
Jane: Oh, I'm a really, very good caulker. Keven: Likes caulk (he says into his tape recorder)

Amy play Giselle, a princess from Andalasia, who is set to wed Prince Edward (Cyclops). His step mother, Queen Narissa, does not like her at all so she banishes Giselle to New York City, from animated to real life, where there are no more happy endings.
It's definitely not a fairy tale for her in NY, everyone's mean until she meets
Robert, AKA McDreamy!! He ends up taking her in, much to the happiness of his daughter, Morgan.
Distraught that Giselle is missing, Prince Edwards leaves the cartoon world in search of his bride to be, and also ends up in NY. Queen Narissa sends her sidekick Nathanial after him, in order to stop Edward from finding Giselle. He is given three poison apples (shocker) to try to kill Giselle.
When Edward finally finds Giselle, he says that they should return to Andalasia to get married, but she replies that she'd like to go on a date… he clearly doesn't know what that is, but says yes anyway.
I think her chipmunk friend Pip gives her a little hand and they manage to save Robert, while Narissa plunges to her death.
Nancy ends up going to andalasia with Edward, where they get married. Robert, Giselle and Morgan live together and make their own happily ever after.
Prince Edward: Have you and last words before I dispatch you? (he thinks Robert kidnapped Giselle) Robert: You have go to be kidding me. Prince Edward: Strange Words!!
Giselle: Goodness, we sure had a lot of excitement tonight. Were you scared? Morgan: A little bit, but do you think Pip will be okay? Giselle: Oh, well, I wouldn't worry about Pip. He is very brave. I remember this one time, when the poor wolf was being chased by Little Red Riding Hood around his grandmother's house, and she had an axe… oh, and if Pip hadn't been walking by to help I don't know what would've happened!! Morgan: I don't really remember that version. Giselle: Well, that's because Red tells it a little differently.
Prince Edward: (talking about the TV, and it's remote) It seems as if this box controls the Magic Mirror.

20:
The movie is about Abby Richter, played by
Katherine Heigl, who is the producer of a morning
show. Their ratings seem to be slowly declining. After a long day at work and a horrible date, she goes home and on the TV is Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler.…
mmmm). His segment is called The Ugly Truth. It's him talking about problems in relationships, and his bluntness is enough for Abby to call in and try to
defend her point of view… that there is a perfect guy out there who wants to listen to her and do things with her that, according to Mike, no man ACTUALLY
enjoys doing.
The next morning, she walks into work to find Mike talking with her boss. She finds out that they've hired him to try to boost ratings. They bicker and fight, denying the sexual tension that the audience sees. Abby thinks that EVERYTHING that Mike is saying is complete BS and that she will find the man of her dreams being herself. I believed every word out of his mouth as that accent just melts my heart!!
When Abby runs into her hot neighbour, a doctor named Colin, she immediately starts trying to get his attention. He doesn't seem interested so Mike offers to help her get the man of her dreams. She agrees, but only if they agree that if he fails, he will have to quit. Everything that he gets her to do and say work like magic, and Colin falls hard.
One of the trials he has Abby do is learn to be sexual. He sends her over vibrating panties, and she decides to see what they're like. HOWEVER, she puts them on RIGHT before Mike walks in with some network head honchos who are there to pick her up for dinner. She throws the remote into her purse and leaves her house. When they get to the restaurant (Colin tagged along, I think they had dinner plans?!), the remote falls out of her purse and a kid sitting at the next table picks it up. He starts to push the buttons and Abby reacts to the surprise. The whole dinner is hilarious as she climaxes while discussing something about the show or network. Mike clearly knows what's going on, and sees the kid playing with the remote, but decides to do nothing until after supper!!! Lol.
He also teaches her to laugh at all his jokes (even if she has to fake it), stick her chest out at him when saying goodbye, and make him wait outside while you finish getting ready (even though she's already ready).
Anywho, Mike gets an offer to go on the Late Late Show, which is also an offer to move to a bigger network. Abby is forced to tag along to try to help him turn the offer down and to get him to stay with her network, canceling weekend plans with Colin in the meantime.
While away, Abby and Mike go out for drinks, and they end up dancing and talking. Mike mentions he wants to stay close to his sister and her son, so he would prefer to stay with her network back home. They call it a night and head up to their respective rooms… but in the elevator they give into feelings and make out. When the doors open, they proceed to their own rooms. Abby has a surprise as Colin has come to surprise her. After thinking about how he feels for Abby, Mike goes to Abby's room to finish what they started in the elevator… and then he finds out Colin is there so he leaves.
Colin gushes about how perfect Abby is, and then she tells him that she isn't who he thinks she is. She is the controlling/obsessive woman that he's used to dating, and he doesn't like that woman… only the one she was pretending to be. She breaks up with him, and that's that.
Mike, broken hearted, ends up going to another local station. Abby decides that he's replaceable and hires some jerk (with no accent) to do his job. They both go to some hot air balloon festival to do some reporting and as Mike's replacement begins his segment, Abby kicks him off and starts venting about how all men suck. Mike is watching from his location, and decides to head over to get into it with her. He steps into her hot air balloon, and they start to bicker about what happened between them. She confesses that she broke it off with Colin, and Mike admits that he loves her. As the balloon takes off without them realizings, they start to kiss again… this time it's being recorded!! They end up together, and at the end of the movie, after they have sex, Mike asks if her big O was genuine… to which she replies: "You'll never know"!!
Abby: My cat stepped on the remote...
Mike: Rule #4: Never talk about your problems 'cause men don't really listen or
care.

19:
A Cinderella Story
Cinderella is played by Hillary Duff, who I also love, but her name isn't
Cinderella in this movie, it's Sam Montgomery. When she was little, she lived with her father (her mother had already died), and he ended up falling in
love with Fiona (who wouldn't, Amirite??). They got married, and her two daughters (Brianna and Gabriella) also joined their family.
After her father died, Fiona ended up having to raise Sam, but instead of treating her like her step-sisters, Sam is treated like crap and is told to work at the diner that her dad used to own. She goes to school, does really well there and is hoping to get into Princeton to get away from this life. She vents her frustrations online, having conversations with a friend under the name Nomad, while she writes under the name PrincetonGirl. Nomad wants to go to Princeton too, but his father wants different things for him, and his girlfriend Shelby is first class bitch. Sam and Nomad don't know each other's true identity, her being the "Diner girl" (according to most students that go to their school), and him being the popular hot jock Austin Ames (played by the delicious Chad Michael Murray). Austin ends up breaking up with Shelby early on in the movie, coincidently at the diner.
Austin decides to ask Sam to meet him at the Halloween party that's approaching at school,
and to meet in the middle of the dance floor. Sam didn't think she could go to the party, but then Rhonda (who works at the diner too, and has been working
there since her father owned it) helps her out and covers for her all night (since Fiona scheduled Sam to work late that night). She also lends Sam a beautiful
dress (I think it's her wedding dress?!) and she helps her find a mask. Sam's best friend, Carter promises to get her back to the diner by midnight.
They even program her phone timer just in case!!
As Cinderella and Zorro, they show up to the party and as they enter, all eyes are on Sam. She heads to the dance floor where she meets Nomad. She knows exactly who he is after seeing him, but since she's wearing a mask, Austin doesn't seem to realize who Sam is. She is hesitant at first, but they decide to go for a walk and she comes around on him. They dance and talk, and when Austin attempts to remove her mask, her cell phone alarm goes off. She says she has to go and runs to get Carter. In the rush, she ends up dropping her cell phone, which Austin then finds and keeps. She manages to get back to the diner for midnight, right as Fiona shows up to check on her.
The next day, Austin decides to put posters up all around school in hopes to find his Cinderella. Unfortunately for him, Sam has no interest in revealing herself to him because she's still afraid he'd reject her after finding out who she is. One after another, Brianna and Gabriella both snoop on Sam's computer and find out that she is Cinderella. They both then proceed to visit Austin at his work (garage) to claim that they are in fact the woman he's been searching for. When he asks what Cinderella left behind, neither of them say cell phone. B&G decide to then tell Shelby the news, and they all decide to humiliate Sam in front of everyone. At a school pep rally, Shelby and her friends, along with B&G perform a skit about Sam and Austin's relationship. First reading the emails back and forth (about Princeton), then the Cinderella part, and then showing that Cinderella is actually diner girl. Austin turns around to see Sam crying, then turns away as she runs off. Austin was upset because his father was with him, and he hadn't mentioned going to Princeton.
After getting home, Fiona shows Sam a rejection letter from Princeton (which is clearly not real). The next day, while Sam is working at the diner, B&G stop by and cause a guitar that is hanging on the wall to fall down. It pulls the wallpaper down with it, and exposes the wall from when Sam's dad owned the diner. On the wall was a message; "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game". After reading the message, Sam decides enough's enough and stands up for herself. She ends up moving in with Rhonda, who also ended up quiting (as well as everyone else who worked at the diner), since she was only there for Sam.
When the big game rolls around, Sam continues sticking up for herself and storms into the boy's locker room. She goes straight to Austin and basically calls him a coward and states that she isn't going to wait for him to figure out what he wants. She doesn't even give him a chance to say anything, she just says what she has to and runs off.
On her way out of the school, Carter stops her and asks her to come watch the game with him… so she does. Near the end of the game, while in the middle of their final drive, Austin decides that he wants to stand up for himself and hands the game to the back-up QB. While this happens, he also sees Sam leaving (she couldn't handle watching the game anymore)… he runs over to her and they kiss. In the end of the movie, Sam finds her dad's will in a book that he gave her, and she turns the tables on Fiona. Sam now owns the diner and she makes Fiona and B&G work at the diner to repay their debt. She ends up selling Fiona's cars to pay off her tuition and she happily attends Princeton with Austin.
Fiona: There's something I've always wanted to tell you and I think you're ready to hear it. You're not very pretty, and you're not very bright. Oh, I'm so glad we had that talk. (To Sam, while secretly withholding her acceptance letter from Princeton)
Austin: Shelby, we really need to talk... privately.
Sam: Hello?
Fiona: Is this the Norwegian salmon I asked for? Because I need my omega-3s.
Fiona: People go to school to get smarter, so that they can get a job. You already have a job, so it's like skipping a step.
