Probably too soon, but would love to hear what happened at tonight's taping.

I really think with the exception of Cody, has the right top dancers. And any one of them could move forward with the right routine and nailing it. Screw up
and I think you will go home.

I also think that, with the exception of Cody, the other men would make for better winners than Nico (yes, even Emmanuel). Vincent would actually be one of my
favorite winners ever.

Surprised to sit through 2 hours of SYTYCD can tonight.
Highlight-- The top 4 female dancers!! Before they even did their routine together I was thinking how strong all 4 were. The only surprise for me has been TJ, and she is as good as the other 3 girls. I don't want any of the 4 to leave. So Emanuel should go, he is bringing down his partner. But then so are all 4 of the guys. They just cant keep up with the ladies. It is sad that Daniel isn't there, as he would be doing much better in these styles than at least Cody and Eman. I loved Everett in his routine with Jayme, he played the geek. I think Jayme was best female tonight. Kim had it very tough with Smooth Waltz, and having to do it with Cody. Although I thought they weren't as bad as Mia said. BUT I am no expert. Seeing Nico, Gustavo and that Ballet guy with Melanie, definitely makes me think she was disadvantaged by not being able to practice with her partner for the show. The disco was painful in spots, and the contemporary was definitely blah especially from Eman. Sadly, I think Melanie might be going and so may Eman. KKKanada might get rid of our last visible minorities. But I am wishing it would be Cody that leaves. And I have to say I l.ove it when Dan and Mia judge. Because it isn't always so nice and blah blah bland, they give it to the dancers and I enjoy the honesty. |

I missed the show tonight, but I strongly, STRONGLY disagree about girls > guys this year. That might change after I see the show (I saw Kim's solo, and
it was better, but apparently her waltz was an absolute disaster), but other than TJ, none of the other girls have really been challenged this season, and when
they are (Melanie mambo), it's atrocious. I'm usually all about the female dancers, but this season... I started out that way, but it faded, and last
week's solos only cemented my idea. Preshow evalaluations are that (guys-Cody) > (girls -TJ). Maybe the group routines will change my mind (I hear that
the guys sucked while the girls were awesome).

Dude, Tara-Jean should definitely win. She has had to do SO many ballroom dances, and she kills them all. She was every bit as good as Vincent at the rhumba
this week. I think it's pretty obvious that the top 4 based on consistency and ability to do multiple styles should be Tara-Jean, Everett, Vincent, and
[insert another girl here]. littltimmy is right, in a sense. None of the girls compare to Tara-Jean in ability, IMO. But based on the routines tonight I'd
say Jayme-Rae should edge the others out based on ability. (But then again, overall Kim's been more popular and consistent so who knows).

Hey Littltimmy, I really think that only Everett seems to be on par with the girls. But I am no expert, I just see the performance and the enjoyment of great
movement.
Hating Eman lately, his ballet is doing him in and he always looks over-affected. Cody is a joke now really, and Vincent is doing an alright job too, but he loses me in some of his performance. I forget he is even there. Any way you look at it, Eman and Cody should be the 2 leaving tomorrow, not any of the ladies. But that is not how this works, right? |

How funny, I feel that Everett is the one who gets lost in performances, and is barely noticeable, while Vincent is easily my favorite dancer in the
competition. Although, I saw his solo, and he needs to either try a paso solo, or stick with the jive; his cha-cha/samba ones are a little underwhelming (but
still better than 3/4 of the female solos). He does get points for his song choice... also, he might be getting latin ballroom a lot in this competition (he
has now done all five international latin styles), but at least his few ventures into new territory have been decent to good (take that, Kim).

Everett and Vincent are both great. Emmanuel started good but his injuries are bringing him down. Cody is in over his head.
All the girls are great. I think Kim has not only the dancing but a striking look so I would hire her first out of this group. Loved the choreography by the Cheese Man and Luther, as usual. These 2 are killing it this season. |

I 100% agree with Heliox. The girls are outdancing the boys. Everett and Vincent are still good, but the girls are better.
Nico's routine was one of the best all season long. That was awesome. Jayme Rae is sooooo sexy... and I don't even like girls. |

It feels like Emman is following the same route he did when he was figure skating: always has injuries. So now he's dancing on a sprained ankle and with
broken fingers? Time to drop him. I've had sprained ankles through life and would not be able to dance around , especially with '4' numbers? It
can't be that bad. He's always playing the sympathy card. I want Cody to go but, I'd be happy with E-Man leaving.
I love Vincent. I think he adapts well to most types of music and he has a charming personality. Everett too..but, one step behind ..ONE TAP behind! I also agree that the 4 women are stronger dancers and I really believe a woman will win this year. I'd be shocked if one didn't. They pimped out Melanie a lot last night but, she's not my personal fav. of the women left. I love Jayme (the twin). I don't remember her ever putting in a bad routine and she works it! (I hope I have the correct dancer...the girl who did the nerd/tough chick performance- partnered with Everett)... I'm hoping she wins the whole thing. If not, Kim or Tara-Jean (but get your teeth fixed). ;) |

Looks like I'm the odd one out on the whole girls thing. I just think that if Kim won (which might very well happen), it would be an embarrassment to our
version to have her do a solo on the US finale like Talia did. Talia's solo wasn't even that good, but just think how underwhelming Kim would be on a
stage by herself for 1 minute (I know, she won't be on the US version, but that's not the point). A bad soloist, who failed at standard ballroom, and
is very technically limited? How does that spell winner. Sure she has a lot of other good qualities, but her weaknesses are just so... glaringly obvious. And
to have her place farther than Vincent (her boyfriend) would show how crappy this season is. And there's just something off putting about a contestant who
has been so strongly "shielded" the entire season. It's like Melissa never getting hip-hop, and only getting 2 fast dances (and sucking each
time), while others like Janette did so many styles very well.
BTW, I do like Everett, very much, just not as much as Vincent. But who cares anyway: this season is rather weak; there's a reason most of this years top 20 failed to make it there last year. Best top 4 girls my ass: the girls from S1 (Canada), and S5 (US) would wipe the floor with these women. Even with Melissa as a very weak link, Janette, Kayla, and Jeanine could easily pick up the slack.

Random thoughts:
- I was hoping Cody would get a fast Latin dance to really emphasize his deficiencies, but that waltz was sufficient. - I'm having trouble with the girls because of their solos. Almost all contemporary dancers look too similar to me. Austin's versatility is impressive, but I still think Natalli Reznik is the most versatile, creative, and original because she fuses different styles in the same solo and no two solos look the same. - I wish they would all have to do at least one routine from each style. There are other things that would give us a better idea of actual dancing ability, but that would be a good start. - Related to the last point, it's apples and oranges for my two favourites, Vincent and Everett. Not fair to choose, but I'd pick Vincent because I think he always has his body in the most beautiful positions and shapes no matter the style of dance. (Yes, I know it's prolly because of the ballroom training vs. the tap training.) I like him even if he can't lift the girls, and agreeance on the personality and je-ne-sais-quoi. So hard to choose solely on dancing...as long as we don't get another Nico. - Emanuel may be choking again. Even if the injuries are genuine, it may show that he's too physically fragile to dance this much, unlike the others.
His season 1 audition was very lady boy, so maybe he and Cody can go this week.
- Always love seeing judges and choreographers dance! |

Best top 4 girls my ass: the girls from S1 (Canada), and S5 (US) would wipe the floor with these women. Even with Melissa as a very weak link, Janette, Kayla, and Jeanine could easily pick up the slack.Actually, now that you mention it, last seasons (US) F4 females were very strong and probably better overall than this 4. But Mia is never wrong!!?? But I am not with you about Eman being better than the girls. Maybe technically, where most of us can't see him excel, but in performance, to me he seems one note. Same look and same 'attitude' whether it is Paso or hip hop. Vincent is a great partner, but I don't see him being any better in the solos than the girls. But again, I am judging by performance and not technical difficulty. One thing that bothered me in the guys is that it seemed asynchronous. Near the end it seemed that Vincent was doing his own thing and was over doing the moves. The women's routine was just so tight. And I am loving all of Sean Cheesman's routines. And agree Luthor is throwing down some dope hip hop. (how buc am I?) Again, US needs to take up our hip hop and crump routines. Weird that Canada owns the tap and hip hop styles this season. |

Thought the waltz last night was okay and the disco was horrid. Really enjoyed Jayme Rae & Everett's latin number, Tara Jean & Vincent's also
and Vincent's solo was silly fun.
At this point I'm totally set on my top four being Tara Jean, Jayme Rae and her evaporating dress, Vincent and Everett. Agree about Emanuel. He definitely earned it up to now but these mounting injuries are starting to be a convenient excuse for him getting cut. I really doubt Kim has a shot at winning. Her solos have been about as disappointing as can be, and everytime the judges call her stunning or dramatic looking what they really mean is that her eyes are too big for her face. Hell I don't even think Cody is going to win. He's been in the bottom so many times and he's just not going to pick up any more voters. The tweeners can't power vote after bedtime. |

Ha! thanks for the freeze shot OVnation.
I don't think Kim will get too much further, I would think it will be between her and Melanie leaving tonight. I HOPE that it isn't the dreaded F4 curse and see Jayme leaving. I think I want Jayme to win this, but other than Eman and Cody I wouldn't be horrified with any of them winning. I don't think anyone is that HUGE of a standout either. The girls just seem to do better when they are not burdened by the boys (even Vincent dropped Amy in the early rounds) |
