I'm not sure if Dark knows who Jacob's son/daughter is though. I need to go back and read that section again. eta - I checked the spoiler again and Jacob's son/daughter IS someone listed in the poll. Jack- Jack has a dad, Christian is established as his dad. Doesn't fit IMO. Sawyer- His dad has been established as the one who changed his life and transformed him (along with Cooper) Kate- Same as Jack. Juliet- Possibly, but not likely IMO Hurley- Is latin Locke- Same as Jack, Cooper is established as his dad. Doesn't fit IMO. Michael- Is black Bram- Possbility Desmond- Very good possibility Caesar- Uh no. Illana- Possibility Ben- Same for Jack and Locke. Richard Alpert- Possibility, but I don't think it's likely. Sayid- Is Arab. Desmond, Bram, and Illana are the most likely IMO. Of course Jack and Locke are candidates for their status on the show, but I have a hard time believing that. I also don't think anyone Jacob visited will turn out to be his kid. Desmond needs a storyline pretty badly I think. I don't know wtf they can do with his character otherwise. I don't remember his family really being mentioned. Could be wrong though.

My sister has a son whose father is 100% african american and the kid has blond hair and green eyes. I also wouldn't count anyone out because we think we know who the characters' parents are. Jack- I agree with you. The casting of Christian was GREAT. I could even see Jack looking like him as an older man. But there has been spec about Jack/Jacob, the name similarity.. Jacob has appeared as Christian. (or was that really MiB?) Christian dabbled, maybe Jack's mother did, too. Sawyer- Again I agree, but his past story wouldn't be any less tragic if the man he thought was his father was not his biological father. Kate- No. She's already had the "I thought he was my father, but he's not" story. Juliet- Possibly, but not likely IMO << agree. Hurley- Ehhh no. Locke- Same as Sawyer. No.. changed my mind already. I know strangers can be kidney donors but I think that kinda seals Cooper as his asshole father. Michael- His father could be white, but we know his mother isn't. He's dead so I'd eliminate him. (OH, but what if Jacob being Walt's grandfather is what made him special?) Bram- Possible, but some posters don't even remember who he is. How much of a surprise would that be? Desmond- Very good possibility. We don't know squat about his parents, right? His role has kinda gone downhill. He doesn't know jack about Jacob, never really been involved in that whole storyline so I'm not feeling it. Not yet. Caesar- Uh no. (and dead, so who would care?) Ilana- <<< New but a very good possibility. She knows a lot about the history of the island... Ben- Again, who's to say Roger really is his father? Jacob favored Locke over Ben.. or so it seems, but Ben had a weird blind faith in this man he had never seen. It would kinda rock if it turned out Ben is Jacob's son. Richard Alpert- Possibility because of the agelessness thing. Sayid- We've seen his father, but again.. can't count him out. Especially the few who know of Jacob and knew the secret code and all that jazz. Which is why my #1 pick is Ilana. She's also the only newbie who knew Jacob: Sometime before 2007, Ilana became hospitalized in Russia after suffering an unknown injury that resulted in her being bedridden and heavily bandaged. The nature of this injury and how it was obtained is unknown. A nurse came up to Ilana's bed and told her she had a visitor, and that this would be good for her because she had not had any visitors in the entire duration of her stay at the hospital. The nurse said she had explained Ilana's condition, but the visitor insisted on seeing her nevertheless. This visitor turned out to be Jacob, who apologized for not being able to come see her earlier. Ilana apparently knew who he was and had some form of previous relationship with him, claiming she was happy to see him. Jacob asked her to help him with something, and she agreed. It is unknown what this favor he needed was. ("The Incident, Parts 1 & 2")

Ilana has some connection to the island and to Jacob that we don't know about and it would explain a LOT about Desmond if he were to be Jacob's son.
