Not reconcile as in stay married. Reconcile as in work actively together as parents.
TLC has used the kids as their own intellectual property for a long time, and this year has proven that they have no interest in the welfare of the family except to film it as it disintegrates. Jon is the man for stepping up. |

If he was really stepping up - he would have tried to stop this circus when the divorce was first announced. Instead, it's entirely too coincidental that
he appears to suddenly decide the show is bad for his kids without his name on the front marquee.

Jon is a good parent. He just went off the rails for a bit after being married to the queen of shrews for 10 years.No wonder Kate had to be such a strong person in the marriage. Look at what all the d'bag has done since the split. Where's his family? I haven't seen anyone come to his defense or do they claim to not know him now!!! |

Kate wasn't strong. She was abusive.
Lets hope she doesn't treat the kids the same way she treated her husband. If she does it's going to he a hell of a childhood for them, never able to do anything right and always being put down and criticized for everything. |

I think there are some grains of truth on both sides. I DO actually believe that Jon has wanted out of the show for awhile. But in typical Jon fashion,
he's always been too big of a wuss to just break his contract and do it. So I'm thinking he approached the relationship with TLC much as he did his
marriage...passive aggressively became a pain in their asses until THEY were forced to take action. They realized that Kate was the better option, they dumped
Jon, and now he's acting out against them just like he did Kate after the split. This is all the tv negotiations version of banging his wife's plastic
surgeon's daughter.

I can't see many judges not seeing the potential for harm to come to the kids from family ridicule and such. Kate is a child pimp at best. Not a mother. |

Regardless of Jon's motivations, BRAVO to him. THe kids are getting shafted by their mother's attempts at her own stardom. I always get the feeling
that Kate got the showbiz bug and it completely took over her life----she is blinded to normalcy. I mean does the woman even have one friend who isn't a
TLC producer?
