Glad Cabot is coming back, the new ADA bitch was stupid, but I guess she's supposed to be a contrast to Casey and Alex. Casey and Alex will pretty much bend over backwards to help SVU and get the real perps in jail etc, this bitch won't even try and help them w/ Victor Tate and she fucking let them release the real perp who ended up killing a 16 year old, brilliant work. As much as I love Alex I wish Casey was coming back too.

Benson commented that she thought he did it and I am sure he did. I love Wentworth Miller but gawd he annoyed me last night and I wasn't too impressed with the ep.

Except Liv and Elliot are and always have been the HBIC and I hate when these noobs pop up out of the blue and don't realize that. kragen wanted to fire their asses on numeours occasions and never did, because they have him by the balls. The DAs need to understand that they have no business meddling in police affaires. Except for the occasional and obligatory "Just do your damn jobs and I'll do mine...." Wentworth Miller's character was seriously the mont hollow and pointless guest character they've ever had. I thought the cast changes that the original L&O made last season breathed a little new life into it and its ratings. At any rate, it will be interesting to see how it does when it premieres Friday. I'm ready to say goodbye to SVU -- it's just a little too grim. And the more I think about the new DA, the more I disliked the episode. I bet the DA could do something for the innocent guy in jail if she wanted to. How about "we found new evidence" which could lead to a new trial, etc. etc. To just basically go "too bad, so sad" and walk away doesn't make sense. "Gee, I'm the new DA in town. I think I'll start by pissing everyone off, throwing my weight around and generally being an asshole. Yeah, that's the ticket. That'll help me win cases!" If I'm gonna be aggravated, I'd rather it be by the men of L&O, the original. (though a little Bobby Goren never hurts. nor does a Jeff Goldblum)

Cops smack crack whores when they neglect kids, they lay a beatdown on rapists, they do a lot of things that cop shows can't write into characters on network TV. Audiences prefer saccharine goodie two shoes. I don't know any cops like Liv. I know plenty like Elliot (who is the best written cop character on network TV, since Andy Sipowicz on NYPD Blue) and yes, Wentworth's character.

I am a huge, huge, huge fan of The Wire and Homicide:Life on the Streets - those were realistic cops IMO. And Stable has been known to smack a bitch when he needs to and is one of the most emotionally complex characters in tv, but the load of crap served up by Wentworth was just that a load of crap. He wasn't believable to me. At all. He was wooden in his acting. It was like he was trying to avoid the acting altogether. I know cops, too, and none of them are like Wentworth's character. At all. I know a few like McNulty, though

How can you introduce an ADA who is all about doing everything by the book and making solid cases against the right suspect and then at the end she's all oh well that innocent guy has to stay in jail. I see how they wanted to have a twist ending but at least have it make sense. I'm not sure I'm going to stick with this show for a full season.
