However I do think she's a goner soon, unfortunately, given what Heliox wrote in another thread: But Betsy was shown making 2 mistakes, voicing her distrust of Russell to dumber blond, and calling out Ashley as the weakest in the tribe. Someone has to take him out, right? And even if she DOES fall to him, it doesn't necessarily mean it will be in the second or third episode.

Although if Betsy is really the only one in her tribe she liked and she has never met any people from the other tribe except in LL, then I agree, who else was she supposed to name? Also, we've seen several people in the past hoping that so on would be the next one voted off or voted off soon and it happened.

Actually, my current hair-brained theory - and I ought to be shot for bringing this up in spoilers - is that John Fincher will become the rat to Russell Hantz' snake. The one guy who's such a total disgrace Russell thinks he can beat him no matter how angry people are. In other words, John is Kelly Wigglesworth to Russell Hantz' Richard Hatch. (Fulfilling Probst's "Could Richard win today?" question.) And I think Betsy plays the Greg Buis role. She's the person Russell will come to acknowledge was so smart and capable she could have won the game. The one who was onto him. And she'll decide his fate by casting the million dollar vote. Fan fic? Yes. Spoiler? Hell no. But viewed from that perspective Jeff's comments, the marketing hype and the E1 editing all make sense.

I'm sort of getting the sense he might be using her to gather info in the camp. She's shown talking to him all the time. She could be in position to plant info, but would she even think of that? My guess on Betsy is she's quietly observing, gathering information and then will make a case...being a good cop'n all. I can't see where voting for Ashley over Marisa should be a big deal to Russell. Had she voted Russell, then that's a BIG DEAL.

I almost think that Betsy's vote for Ashley would be a reason for Russell to keep both Betsy and Ashley around. He wants conflict, as long as it doesn't involve him.
