I just finished reading the Andy Dick story. I can't wait to get the audio book. I want to finish reading it first though.

I know the difference between pedophilia and incest, I'm not stupid. However, they are both very taboo subjects and I was just curious if she'd go there (to what MacKenzie wrote about, which is disgusting) when she wrote about something that is very taboo, and also about a family member. That's all I was saying. And why are you embarrassed for me or anyone who do not spend their leisure time reading? I never said I was proud I don't read books, nor has anyone as far as I can see. I am pretty busy and in my leisure time I do other things than read. It's just not how I personally choose to spend my leisure time. Other people love reading, it's just not something I do much of anymore. But it's nothing to be embarrassed about. Carboy, you should buy the audio book as I think you'd really enjoy it.

BTW, I read all motherfucking day long between the internet new sites and blogs, and newspapers and the magazines that I subscribe to so big fucking deal if I only read 1 or 2 books per year, if that. If I feel like that that's enough for me then how is it that some person at Sucks who doesn't even know us should say they are embarrassed for us. As if reading the Andy Dick story makes them better than anyone.

First I couldn't find it on the new arrivals table- but there was that disgusting macken phillips book..i was like barfing.. Why should I have to strain my eyes when I can listen to it. Seems like you need to hang at my local Chapters with all the starbucks junkies and review books like the latest 900 pager instead of criticizing those who don't read all the time. Not nearly as good at Kathy's Mem. but still fantastic if you love Tori (which I do). That girl came from one fucked up (albeit rich) household... I leave all the serious reading to my husband...

This is the first time I have ever ordered an audio book , but since it's Kathy telling her tale, I cannot resist. I've had the book for a couple weeks now, but I haven't had time to get very far in it. I am still in the Kenny chapter. I've just been swamped with work and other things. I'll get through that book soon. But in the mean time, I can listen to her audio version during my workouts. I try reading when I am on the eliptical/treadmill/bike, but I just can't read while I'm doing serious cardio. So, audio it is.

I have one point to make about the audiobook... The opening chapters about her childhood feel a little wooden, which makes sense as it is her oldest memories to recall and she is reading it directly from the book. Once she gets past that and into her late teens/early 20's it relaxes and is like she is in the same room with you... telling you juicy inside gossip. Enjoy!!!!
