All that said, I can't imagine this show without Lucas and Peyton - they were the backbone of the show, at least when I was watching it.

I stopped watching this series at the end of the fourth season. It was fantastic it's first season, but started going downhill after that. I know a lot of
people have been fans of the flash forward (judging by the show's improved ratings), but they lost me when they announced the twist.

sassycanuck wrote: That would be fantastic... Barry Corbin is just an exceptional actor. I hope they say Whitey moved out of Tree Hill at the very least... or else he has missed two Lucas weddings and a plethora of other events. It is going to be very interesting to see how they go about the exits tonight. I wouldn't be shocked if they aren't adressed at all - I cling to the hope that my yet another time jump theory will hold up! |

Brillant. More later, but brillant covers it for the time being.

Oh and did anyone think that this seemed like a Series Finale? Especially at the end? |

It was a series finale, and a great one. Everyone's story was tied up perfectly. With no Lucas or Peyton, and things ending on such a good night, I'm
not sure I even want to come back next year.

I agree. I really liked this finale. I enjoyed how everyone ended up happy at the end unlike most finales. I'm definitely curious for next season to see
what reason the writers use for Peyton and Lucas leaving and see where everything else goes. I'll miss the show over the summer, that's for sure.

I just thought of something.
It's true that Chad and Hilarie aren't going to be back for season 7 right? If so then I think that they should've had a scene with the core 5 characters kinda like a goodbye of sorts and a reflection of all that they been through together. Just one last time with the whole gang together you know? |

Season 7 starts up Sept. 14th at 8 PM. New cast photos... new faces abound.

I've never seen this show, but I think I'm going to quit this year. Season six was SO bad. Plus Brian Austin Green's contract fell through and that
was the only thing keeping me vaguely interesting.

Things that have me really interested in S7: - One of the new regulars, Quinn (Hayley's sister). I would have prefered they brought back the hotness that is Lindsey McKeon (Taylor James), but this works for me. - Following Nathan in the NBA as opposed to following him get there. Now, I loved the comeback arc, and I know the majority of the fanbase doesn't care about basketball, but I am really interested in seeing how the show goes about it. It could be completley horrible... |

I liked it. Didn't love it, but definitley liked it. With or without the new direction of the show, OTH premieres are always slow and plotting.
If you take out the Lucas/Peyton references and it was basically a new pilot. A good pilot at that. Nathan already has a clear direction, Hayley already has a clear direction (something everyone was complaining she didn't have last year), Brooke and Julian are already in a rhythm (albeit a shaky one... more on that in a minute), and so on. The Dan Scott Show excites me to no end. Anything and everything Quinn excites me to no end... talented actress, incredibly beautiful - color me beyond thrilled. The only thing that really put me off was Austin Nicholls' (Julian) performance. He seemed nervous and not-Julian like. He developed a great character last year, one that had a really nice chemistry with Brooke... I didn't get any of that. He shouldn't try to be Lucas, it won't work that way. Overall, really good though. It could have been MUCH-MUCH worse. |

Can I say that this really impressed me?
- Dan/Rachel owns in theory. Put two great talents together and you assume you are going to get something great. Good start tonight. - Hayley was fantastic. The Lucas/Peyton impressions ruled. - The Brooke/Julian stuff was much better this week. - Still love Quinn. - The Nathan scandal is actually kind of intriguing. Better then last week. |

Hayley was actually the best part of last night. Her Lucas and Peyton impressions were spot-on, and her "Who's the bitch now, bitch" line is
probably one of the best of the show.

The fact that this show outlasted Veronica Mars is a reason that god does not exist!

The day OTH ends it run on the CW will be bittersweet. The bitter portion being that I obviously enjoy OTH and am glad the network has stood by it. The sweet portion being, I loathe the network for pulling Veronica when it's numbers were AS GOOD as essentially everything else on the network, not to mention leaps and bounds... and more leaps better then the rest in terms of quality. Not having to say "I hate the CW, but I enjoy OTH" will be great... I digress.
