One is actually very neat, and about as organized as you can get about it, her stuff is catagorized and stored in plastic storage containers, but the containers take up the majority of her apartment and garage; imagine walking through a narrow maze of plastic tubs stacked up to the ceiling, no place to sit, a narrow spot on the bed just big enough for her to sleep; she lives on take food as the stove, refridgerator and kitchen cabinets are also used for storage.
The other is like the hoarders who have been on the show, living in filthy overwhelming clutter. In one of the previous houses he lived in he had stored so much stuff in the converted apartment above the garage that the floor caved in, but since he had so much other stuff stacked in the garage below nothing fell; in fact, it wasn't even noticed until he started to moved out.
Bottom line: You just can't help people who don't really want to change.
I wonder how many of these people are going to end up like the Collyer brothers.
