I like most of the Gabon intro except for that opening sound: it's just CBS stock Africa-style music, it's been used in TAR.

I think the themes have been the most consistently good thing in the series, sadly. There aren't any that you cannot listen too.

uuummm....wtf they didnt show the intro in the first 3 min we got on ew! if they cut it again this season im going to be pissed! why do they always wanna fuck
with the concept! we want a good intro to opwn our show! not some stupid ass 3 second clip on the survivor samoa logo underwater!

Damnit what the hell. They better have only cut out the theme to show the extra footage of the contestants for the ew clip. But I have a feeling we won't
be seeing it this week. Just like in Fiji, doomed for a bad season.

We know Russ Landau actually has recorded a new theme, with brand new vocals from scratch (ala Africa and China) so either it's was just cut for web
showing or the premiere episode was running long and it was cut like they did for Fiji.

It's not like they can't chop away a minute from some other part of the episode. If there's no intro on Thursday, I will be pissed because Probst
spent so much unnecessary time saying OMG SAMOA HAS TALL WATERFALLS AND SHIT!!!!!!!!!

I emailed Russ asking if we might get the theme before the premiere, in his reply he hinted that we might have to wait a bit unfortunaly but that it should pop
up on itunes. He seemed excited for how the new theme turned out though, siad the new theme really rocked.

I hope the music is in ultra HD. I've always thought Russ's titles recordings (well, especially with the "old" Russian vocals) felt a bit
flat.

Well he worked with that group of Samoan singers, the Katinas, on this theme, so hopefully there will be some new chanting or something to freshen up the
theme. I agree that Tocantis wasn't his best but Gabon wasn't that bad imo
