GH mostly talks about granite/lime being present that can cause paranormal activity, but yeah quartz is another one that paranormal groups discuss.

I always wondered...so if you bought an old house and decided to remodel it, should you not put in granite countertops, because although it would enhance the
house's value, it would maybe decrease it if it gets all creepy and ghosty? haha

I did just that a few years ago, replacing formica with granite, and I live in a 150+ year old house that by all accounts deserves to be haunted.
Nuthin'. My cat did start behaving strangely though. Or to be more specific, continued acting strangely, but with newfound commitment. This business of minerals attracting spirits is a brand new concept to me. I don't watch the Ghost shows, true, but I'd never heard of it. I think the GhostFacers eps of Supernatural -- which sent up the genre -- kind of make me giggle anytime I see one of the SyFy ads. So what was it that "possessed" the prison? This series is built on a universe where anything weird isn't supernatural, but unexplainable. The idea behind the warehouse being that if Jefferson couldn't understand a radio, it's best to bag it & tag it until somebody can. Were those ghosts making the people hallucinate? If so, we're getting vampires and werewolves in forthcoming eps instead of things Alessandro Volta invented but couldn't control? Maybe I need to rewatch? Anyhow, I regret not having gone with coriolan, which was new then. Granite's a bitch. |

-- Ooh, I want granite counter tops. And you live in a 150 year old place? That, sir (or madam), is awesome. BTW P...I just got the blu ray season 4 set of Supernatural on sale at Target today for 20 bucks!! They had a misprint and put season 4 on what they meant to be selling season 1 for....and so they gave it to me for 20. Time for a Supernatural marathon! But back to Warehouse 13, can I just say I love Porcelain by Moby?! |

I mean isn't something being supernatural the same as being unexplainable? i am pretty sure it was that cross thing, right? It manifested people's
thoughts and beliefs and was able to turn people's regrets into nightmares...at least that's what I gathered. Because remember, there was Alice too,
who I would consider a ghostly presence....what a creepy fucking bitch, by the way.

Sir, or just P'ha is fine.
I hate how Sucks hides gender, but I've been hyping Supernatural in the True Blood thread. Marathon away! It's absolutely the best Monster of the Week series since Buffy. And once they added in Yellow Eyes and his army -- awesome stuff, and a woefully underrated series. 150+ year old houses ain't all that. But me lurves me mine. Porcelain -- you have to love a simple cable series snagging the rights to that level of mojo. Last week's ep had a haunting track from the The Stills -- whoever picks the music for this series is AWESOME! |

It looked like white smoke floating in the shape of a thin person. It would appear and then it was gone until the next time. I never told my husband but a few years after we moved out he mentioned the ghost he saw. So I guess I wasn't crazy. |

I wish we could have a "ghost" thread on sucks...I've seen a'many, but I don't want to clutter this thread with my crazy stories

Start one in OT. They might bite.
Fun ep with the warehouse going nuts. Sylvia Plath's typewriter? Nice touch. I wonder what the cweepy baby doll does. I thought the gears of the neutralizer got stuck by a can of the silly string falling inbetween two cogs, not the silly string itself. No biggie though. How does silly string turn evil anyway? |

I think adding Allison Scagliotti to the cast was a good idea.

I loved LOVED last episode. Something about it reminded me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Clearly the writers are influenced by it. It's not quite up to that
quality, but the chemisty between the leads is great, and I love the mythology that is shaping up.

My brain kind of blew upon first seeing Saul. I don't think I'd ever seen him prior to BSG and haven't since. Let's hope he becomes a SyFy
regular.
Nice ep. I love how they slipped in the background that the first 12 warehouses had burned to the ground and this is, well, # 13. The pen causing all that havoc at the boarding school seemed to be a bit much. Terrific summer series overall. I have no doubt it'll come back. |

I'm behind and watching last weeks episode and can't stop laughing at "who smells like tuna fish now Ralph Brunski?"

So Lena was a double agent all along? I don't like it--way too contrived. And I was so glad they were getting rid of MacPherson, who was the worst villain ever, and now he's back and maybe Artie's gone. DUMB. |

Yeah but the way this show bobs & weaves, she could be a double agent or sumthin' in an elaborate scheme. I'm just happy Claudia didn't turn
out to be MacPherson's daughter or something that stupid.
No way Artie's gone. My bet is that he still had the Phoenix on him and survived the blast. Adding in this MacPherson bad guy was a bad idea, agreeance. They should stick to bagging and tagging the artifact of the week. Plus, Pete now with a dark side to him? Meh. Still, I'm delighted there'll be a season 2 next summer. |

This was a great first season overall! With so much potential to improve. And that is seriously what you call a cliff-hanger.
