ETA Rennyat, there's a thread here that we sort of had to fight for last year for Off Topic discussion. It was called the Hot Tub last season and this year it's called the Brothel. Last season, that thread stayed at the top of the board. No one has used it this season. Lila! The truth of the matter is that we've ALL been noobs at one time... and how do the "seasoned" posters decide who's worthy of being accepted and who isn't? Do you go by posts or age of account? I've been on this board since 2000; I had an account in 2001 (and posted a lot!) which became OBSOLETE for lack of use... but I never stopped reading. I've seen posters who joined two weeks ago with over 1000 posts, while my year-old account is still less than, what, 250? Sometimes less is more.
