I'm a duel Canadian/American citizen, but no one I know here in Canada can apply, and no one I know in the US watches the show or is willing to apply with
me! *cries*

I really really want to apply. The trouble is, by myself, I'm not terribly interesting. Yes, there have been many teams that are lacking in the "oh,
that's cool" department. But me as a contestant doesn't bring too much to the show. I've traveled quite a bit internationally, can get by in
Spanish, French, and even Indonesian. I'm married with young kids, but the wife would not want to do it. But I have the perfect solution.
My very good friend from college has agreed to do the race with me, but she is an extraordinarily busy person. She is also compellingly interesting, for a number of reasons. She is only one of two people in the entire world to do a particular thing and be uniquely qualified to do it. Everyone knows about this thing, and everyone would be amazed at my friend and what an amazing life she has led. I've known her for twenty years, close for some of those years, but we've drifted apart and only reconnected in the past three or four years. I think the compelling "story" behind our friendship would make the perfect casting choice for TAR. If we could only get our application in!!! We were about to enter season 15, but last minute problems on my end killed that app. Seasons 16 and 17 apps went by so fast, we blew it. It would be very tough for either of us to take the time off from work - not only for the show itself but also for the app process...if I remember correctly you have to spend two weeks in LA during the process (assuming you get that far) just to see if you are chosen. But I think we would have a great time and be positioned well to win the race. Would be so cool to one day get the chance to race.... |

I know that hundreds of pairs of Canadians would kill to be in the race, as I would.
There are so many mini races here in Vancouver, as we try to fill the void of being able to apply for TAR. |

I live in Australia
We need to make one however. I would totally go on with my mother or my sister and be the first half-azn/full-azn or half azn team to win. |

Didn't start applying until Season 5 because kids were too young to leave. Season 5 applied with friend I met on Sucks. Season 6 and 7 applied with my Dad. Season 8 didn't even apply for at first because kids had to be 12 and older and my husband didn't have any interest at all. Got called from Survivor application(used family x-mas card as my picture) to apply for season 8 was told they lowered the age. Husband still didn't want to apply because of job and other practical reasons. |

01. I'm eighteen.
02. No one really wants to see a chubby pale white guy on their TV sets. 03. No one I know has a passport. 04. No one I know wants to travel. |

Dan Down Under wrote: Amen to that. We've ripped off every other American Reality show, and if the AXN can get enough money to put together a semi-decent season (despite the epic amounts of product placement and limited travel destinations) I'm sure we can get one here.

Normally I'd say something along the lines of "I'd suck" but then again the frats made the final 3 so...
I don't really know somebody that is: a. smart b. hilarious to be on tv and c. I could spend more than 48 hours around. |

Bad back and hips, otherwise I would do it in a heartbeat, as long as there was no skydiving. That would probably kill me.
