My bet is Mattin is toast this coming week. He is SO girl it makes me giggle. He takes the effeminate Frenchman stereotype and does a fairy dance all over it. The sad thing is we have not seen him really cook anything interesting. Even Ashley has done some things that make you think twice about hating her (or make ME think twice... I am likely in the minority in that I like this show, above all, for the food and not for the drama).

If we can get to to the following group, I think the show will kick it up a notch and be VERY interesting (and be rid of the fodder):

Jen C.
Ron (I love him, and he just makes me smile for some reason...)
Bryan (sorry, but his food fascinates me... he does the Blaise without making a big vocal deal out of his ingenuity and I LOVE it)
Michael the Bro (hate him, but again his choices in the kitchen are amazing)
Kevin (he just needs to tone down the "I'm A Southern Cook!" schpiel)
Ashley (if we need drama, she is much better drama than the annoying tagalong Mike)
Robin (she interests me for now, though that could fade soon if she doesn't do something interesting as far as cooking).
Ash (I get the feeling he has some real chops... though he IS too much of a DAle part 2 in his personality)

Axe Latrine, Mike Isabitcha, and Eli (he strikes me as capable of showing more than he has, but his narration and his middle of the road status are really starting to wear thin).

Again, I think Mattin is toast so am not including him. his edit last week made him seem doomed
