I couldn't place where I knew the actor who played Will from but when I saw his name I remembered - I was lucky to see him as Link Larkin in Hairspray on Broadway!

I just bought "Take A Bow" as well. Too bad there isn't a full version of ISALP, I've always loved Dionne Warwick.

Yeah-- he was in "Hairspray," "A Light in the Piazza," and most recently, "South Pacific." He's surprisingly versatile as an
actor. Here's a funny video where he participated in a fake contest meant to promote the musical "In the Heights."

Glee <333 I can see how some people could dislike the pilot. I think there was a little too much going on, like trying to cram to many details into one
episode. I have a feeling that may stay. I'd prefer if they would only focus on one major story arc at a time, but still adding a little bit of the others.
Sorta degrassi like, but each episode develops a persons story arc for the whole season, not just that episode.

I broke down and bought Gold Digger. I still can't get over that it's Matt Morrison doing the rapping. Amazing.

Finally saw the episode, and I don't get what the griping is about. It was great. I guess some people just hold the show to such a specific standard that
any single thing that diverts from that brings on whining and bitching.

I have to say the part about the lack of gag reflex made me laugh for a good five minutes. That is some funny writing.

Sorry for having an opinion, highwind. I really should watch that, around here.

So thrilled the ratings went UP with final numbers. And we haven't even got the DVR stats yet.
We're gonna get a back nine unless this thing totally crashes and burns in the next two weeks. YAY GLEE! |

It's one thing to have an opinion, it's another to shove it down everyone's throats. Just sayin'. I mean fine, you didn't like it as much
as we did. We get it.

highwind44029 wrote:Can't that be said of the people who like the show as well, especially in this thread? In any case, this was a weaker episode than the pilot, I felt too, but the jokes were funnier I think than in the pilot. The gag reflex, the gay son comment, the running balloon theme, and the funniest for me, Principal Figgins' lines (especially the "Oh Sue" and the toilet speech) were way more comedic than anything in the first episode for me. Where I think the second episode faltered a little bit was its incorporation of the songs, especially "Take a Bow," which was definitely a different feel from "Don't Stop Believing". I don't think this bodes well for "Bust Your Windows" either, as that seems to be cut from the same cloth (music video in the middle of a television show). The other part that may be frustrating is that the show focused on Terri for a significant amount of time. Switching from Rachel's and Finn's stage incident to Terri visiting the doctor was a bit of an emotional shock, especially since audiences are so much more attached to the characters at the high school over their almost universal hatred of Terri. Her character is really a drain on the enjoyment of the show for many people, and whenever the show focuses on her or her story, the episode seems to drag. That's what I think happened here. Also, there will always be those people who complain about the sex references in a high school show. Then again, this is Fox, and a Ryan Murphy show at that. |

I actually totally agree that the jokes were funnier this time. It was just less enchanting to me.

She totally plays on his emotions at the right time. |

Okay so I just watched both episodes on that Hulu savior website.
I love this show. I saw the no pregnancy twist and I can't believe she is going to Tulipalooza. We still need 3 more people to join the Club to make it official and I think the Guidance Counselor is probably the most insanely hot for no apparent reason woman on TV. Although the wife here is like Rita on Dexter as I really don't care about her but the writers want me to... |

Maybe because I am gay and don't know any better, but I think Rachel is prettier than Quinn.

Chuck, you and I are on the same page (you know, het to mo wise).
I think Rachel is teh hottest. Fuck Quinn. Rachel is not classically beautiful, Rachel is smoking. I want huh. I love to hear her sing. She completes me. I want to test her gag reflex. How is it a show can have me lust after high school girls. (OK, maybe that's not such a stretch.) Ugly/beautiful is a highest form of complement in my book. <3 Rachel. |
