That picture bothered me too. Smiling with that tiny casket.I don't even know why I'm about to type this, but in her defense, when a camera is pointed at you, your automatic response is to smile I guess. This in no way takes away from the fact that these two are two big piles of selfish. NO MORE JON AND KATE IN THIS THREAD, PEOPLE! I just can't keep everyone straight when you do that!! And really, a thread about mediawhores who had sextuplets is no place to discuss Jon and Kate. Oh, wait... |

If sure hope Ashlyn doesn't suffer much longer. Her pitiful story (along with her siblings) makes me so mad As it was Such a selfish act, not doing
selective reduction on the pregnancy early on.

True Guppie. But why would you put that picture on your blog.
And with what happened with the pregnancy everyone would have understood if they'd just stopped blogging or only did minor blog updates. And to not only go on vacation but to tell the world that you're doing that when the babies could die any minute? And honestly it's probably for the best if those babies don't make it. Better than to live their lives as vegetables suffering. |

Not only tell the world, but post pictures or say your going to post pictures?!!!
Not to be heartless, but they were given six brand new carseats. I doubt the company will ask for any of them back. What are they going to do with extras? Let's say all three survive. I guess they can put three in each car so that they will be ready to go at all times. If only two survive they can keep two in each car and two at home just to put them in I guess. Maybe they will donate them or give them back to the company. However, knowing them they will sell them, regift them, or keep them for "future babies." |

If it's really in Gods hands - why do they allow modern medicine to continue to keep these babies alive? Shouldn't God be doing that?

One last point, I wonder if they delete any negative comments on their blog and if people every e-mail them about what they have done. Surely, not all feedback
can be postive.
I also wonder sometimes what the NICU nurses think of them. Do they blame the parents for the kids condition and dread seeing them or are they like the people on their blog. Bet you their New Orleans trip was a topic of discussion among the nurses at the NICU. |

I've seen a couple of 'negative' posts stay up. But in all honesty, there is no freaking way I'd post anything negative on their blog, and I
think most people have the decency to refrain from that. They are going through hell (though they got a nice break in New Orleans). And if nothing else, I
feel very deeply for those babies. Out of respect for them I would never, ever post anything there.
Like we have said in the past, it's in the Lord's hands and all we can do is pray for her and hope for the best. We are trying hard to stay strong through all this, but it's been really hard as we have been going through these ups and downs for five weeks now. I feel strongly that when one door closes another one opens. That is how a loving Heavenly Father works. He is so loving and will do what is best for the girls and for Thomas and I.First of all, it's ONLY been five weeks. See, these ups and downs are going to last a lifetime. So I think they need to re-frame their thinking here. Also, they should not be praying that the Heavenly Father does what's best for "Thomas and I'. They should be praying for what's best for the CHILDREN. As I mentioned in the other thread, when your kid is mortally ill, you have no life. Your life is over for the duration. If you're not prepared to that, don't sign on for a sextuplet pregnancy with an incompetent cervix and diabetes to boot. |

I would never comment on their blog, don't get me wrong. However, people were mean to Octomom to the point of endangering her and her children. They too
were just newborns. People say mean things to celebs whose kids just died or who are going through something horrific. So, that's why I am surprised more
heartless crazies haven't popped up. Also, surely they got some negative feedback about asking for sponsors ,etc prior to the babies birth. Maybe some
nice advice about not psoting as much since that just makes them look bad, etc...

I don't the doctors/nurses 'dread' them because that's what they do - premature babies. However, I bet they all take this case home with them
every night.

I don't know, my mom works in the nicu , and the only people she really doesn't like are the ones who try to tell her what she should be doing even
though they don't know shit. As far as taking the case home, at least these people come to visit their babies. The only thing worse than people who think
they know everything are people who leave their dying children there and never come to visit. So while the Stansel's are dumb ass pieces of shit for even
attempting this pregnancy, at least they are there.

Amanda: *smiles* Oh, praise the Lord! Small steps forward then... Nurse: "confused* Well...not really... Amanda: Okay, I will go buy some cute outfits for them. I also need to learn how to install carseats. When can they come home? Nurse: Well, we don't know yet... Amanda: Those girls had a bump in road while we were gone didn't they? Always trying to scare us. When they move out of the house at eighteen... This must be what it's like for them dealing with Stansels. I don't envy them. |
