Shannon Yasmin Foa Foa Ashley Ben Betsy Elizabeth Jaison Marisa Mick Mike Natalie Russell H. Time for some pre-season spec. Who do you see making alliances, and who will go home first should either tribe lose an IC? I'm thinking we'll get mostly a young-old divide from the outset. Mike looks like an easy first boot for Foa Foa, and I can't see either Shannon's or Russell's attitude going down well with the rest of Galu. Russell might be able to ally with Yasmin however, since African-Americans on the same tribe often pair up (Alicia-Nick, Sean-Vee, Osten-Tijuana, Crystal-GC).

Posts: 660 (08/28/09 10:40 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Galu first boot Laura (crazy super-Christian freak) or Shannon (Marine attitude and bubbly personality will probably grate on the tribe). Foa Foa first boot probably Mike because he is by far the oldest and the girls on his team don't seem weak and the other guys seem strong. Dream alliance, Elizabeth and Marisa all the way to the final 2. I could see Jaison, Mick, and Ashley also aligned with them. Ben and Natalie in a Southern alliance. I can't really see the other tribe having any strong alliances. John and Erik will be fighting for alpha dog. The rest of the tribe probably won't like Laura, Shannon, and Dave, so they could have a doomed outcast alliance like Tracy, Kathy, and Chet in Micronesia. I think the best chance for a lasting alliance on that tribe is the young girls and probably Brett.

He doesn't look like he'll be a huge physical asset and he looks like a creep, and so the young popular kids that I've decided will be best friends (Yasmin, Kelly, Monica, Brett, John, Erik, etc.) will vote him off. Foa Foa might suck and let jealousy take over and boot someone like Natalie, but I think they'll do the same thing and vote out a weaker member. I say Mike, probably. My prediction for the first boot is Mike. Foa Foa seems weaker overall and Mike is the weakest on that tribe so BYE?

JT's a guy who has worked outside his whole life. He's used to getting up in the morning, going out, and getting things done. Being cooped up at Ponderosa is hard on everybody, but I think it was especially wearing on him.

I did see Mike in Tocantins! And he's right, I totally thought he was some Hell's Angel biker badass. I'm not sure if he would have gone first. (I'm actually not even sure it was a 1-for-1 swap, that he would even have been on Jalapao). I think first boot is typically someone who stands out socially (Carolina, Chicken, Michelle, Jolanda, Tina Scheer) or someone who is on the wrong end of an early alliance power play (Mary Who, Brook Geraghty, Ryan Aiken). Obviously Survivor is so situational, you can't generalize any rule .... but Mike seems like such a sweetheart, I can't imagine anybody putting his name out unless he was obviously suffering. ETA: Unless there is some real dramatic challenge fuckup, I would be shocked if Mike is the first boot from Samoa.

Or how he was "sure" there would probably be a targeting of former winners?
