I'm shocked, 3 pages of the blackest names in your family and no Serena squawking about racism? Did we get blessed with a ban of that twat?

There are no black names in my family, but my father wanted to name me Leroy, and my maternal grandparents would have named their son Virgil if they'd had
one.

My family has the whitest, most normal names you can imagine; only the last couple cousins' kids have fallen prey to the trend of making last names into
first names. One of my cousins married a Jew and my dad makes cracks about her in private; I'm not into black girls but I've always wanted to bring one
to a family gathering just to bask in the awkwardness.

Dictatorship wrote: me, too. but my mom's side has the annoying habit of naming everyone for someone so there are multiples of pretty much each name. I was named for Aunt Salt, and Aunt Salt named her daughter after my mom. We had to call everyone by their first and middle names just to specify who we were actually talking to or about. I taught at a school with an all black student population - the first time I looked at the attendance list, I had no idea how to pronounce 3/4ths of the names. Best - LaDebraTonya |

My (male) cousin's name is Lavaughn, but that's about as black as it gets. Second would probably be Gramps with Otto, but it's pronounced Ot-toe so
that actually sounds pretty redneck I guess.
I have a white friend at work named Tashina, though! |
