He came onto the tour as an arrogant brat, who thought he could get his way in every match with temper tantrums, abusing umpires, linesmen, ballboys. He has not changed to this day. It's always a good day when he loses. Even God smiles.

I bet you can't find another mens player who's had a better Wimbledon record than Hewitt in the past decade, besides Federer and Henman, amongst whom Hewitt is "one of the greatest" as I said. Here's Roddick's for comparison: 2001 3RD 2002 3RD 2003 SF 2004 RUP* 2005 RUP* 2006 3RD 2007 QF 2008 2ND 2009 RUP*? (PS I am aware I'm only considering Wimbledon for this.) |

Even Hewitt, fighting recent injuries, has had a better record than Roddick in the past few years alone, his five-set marathon triumph over Hewitt the other
day notwithstanding.

Well he didn't evolve as a player until 03 (that's when he won his first Slam). So aside from 2 results he's done very well.
Andy is a dick but he gets SOOOO hot when he's mad <3. That's probably why his name is RodDICK <3. I'm sure his dick is as long as rod too <3. So what if he has a mail ordered bride? I think it's uber romantic. <333 |

<3333 Yes they do! 95% of tennis players are fucking ugly as shit but Roddick is one of the few hot players <3. His wife Brooklyn should be so lucky to
have him. Just to think, he could have skipped her page in the magazine and they would never be

You can spin it as much as you want, but he hasn't been dominating the whole decade (if I recall correctly, Roger lost Wimbledon in the first round when Lleyton won). I was commenting because you said Hewitt is one of the "best grass court players of all time." This is obviously not the case... Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer and countless others beg to differ. Hewitt's won this title ONCE, and has made it only to the semifinals one other time. That hardly constitutes best of all time. Sure, he one of the better of the decade. When did I say he wasn't? |

Dictatorship, I consider the past decade to be a new era in general, far beyond earlier generations in terms of serving strength, pace of shots, absolute
technical precision in physical and biological training and equipment, and this began in about 2000. I refer to this as the "Federer era" because
it's lasted for his entire career, not in reference to when he was in dominant form, but it deserves his name because of his dominant form and
that he was able to rise up above even the accelerating proficiency of new world-class tennis play. This is a pretty common view.
Sampras would have done exceedingly well in this era also; he was ahead of his time in the previous era just as Federer is this time. Again, you're forgetting that Hewitt has run into the ultimate victor, Federer, THREE times, once in the semis and twice preventing him from making the semis. That is a huge plus on his record in itself. So if you weight a player's abilities in terms of era of play, and losing to Federer -- two pretty reasonable considerations -- Hewitt is one of the greatest grass courters of all time. |

not that good of a match, tbh (well the last game was amazing) Just think, if she had won the French Open she'd have another Serena Slam!
