Since the Emmy voters are so influenced by Oscar wins, I'll need to send them this adorable picture:

Lost is one of the most well written shows that are on today. There's actually character development and the twist/turns are amazing. I can't name one bad thing about the show. I can actually name quite a few things that I consider to be "bad" about the show, but it's still a good show and worth watching. There were some issues in season 2 and the beginning of season 3, but it was still not unwatchable (imo) and got back to the goodness that it was before that. Plus we get to see hot men shirtless on a fairly regular basis. |

I can't name one bad thing about the show.It is quite confusing at times if you're intent on knowing what everything is and means. But a few months ago, I gave up understanding the time issues and trying to figure out stuff on my own. I figure the writers will reveal whatever answers they want to and I should just sit back and enjoy. I agree with whoever said upthread that the show may not garner as much award attention because while a great piece of drama, the show is only completely appreciated for its greatness if you know the context. It has some great stand alone episodes but even their meaning isn't fully appreciated without knowing what came before. |

That's the greatness of "Lost" IMO. I'm perfectly happy without knowing every single thing. I like the mysterious nature of it all. But, I
know I'm in the minority. That's the reason people watch shows like CSI, Grey's Anatomy, etc. Every little detail is explained to them and they can
go to bed at the end of the night. Unfortunately, TV audiences don't like to actually think about what they're watching.

I'm still mad Pushing Daisies didn't get a series nomination last year.

I LOVED Lost season 1, but I kinda started losing interest in it in the middle- to the end of season 2, and by early season 3 I gave up on it. Kinda wish I
didn't though, since I now hear form everyone how good it is again.

Bahh. Don't remind me. It's depressing. I'm going out with friends every day and having a blast, but in the back of my head I know that's only
gonna last for so long, and about a month from now I'm gonna be hooked to the clusterfuck piece of shit that is Big Brother. Fuck me.

Maybe good news for USoT fans, maybe bad news for Nurse Jackie fans....
Edie Falco nor Nurse Jackie submitted anything for emmy nominations (probably cause it hadn't premiered yet). This means that Toni Collette can start writing her acceptance speech for "United States of Tara" when she wins for Lead Actress, Comedy. |

I wouldn't so sure yet. To me Toni Collete is in the same boat as Traci Ullman -- playing multiple characters that are often stock stereotypes. In the
category of Lead Female in a Comedy, a cable or premium channel show has won only one time -- Sarah Jessica Parker in 2004. Toni will also be competing with
channel mate Mary Louise Parker.

Gregoire wrote: I don't see MLP as competition. Weeds has gone down the drain the past two seasons. I think Tina Fey is her only competition, but Emmys usually don't honor the same person back-to-back unless your name is Jeremy Piven. |

Are you kidding? The Emmys are FAMOUS for awarding people back to back, and particularly in this category (see Candace Bergen, Helen Hunt, Patricia Heaton).
Collette has the chops, but Tina's still got clout and a lot of respect.

The show's been moved to September 20th so they won't clash with MTV.
