Ugh, FRod pulled a Lidge giving up a 2 run gopher ball. 2nd legit BS, but goes 1,2,3 to seal the deal in the 10th. Of course KRod won't be available
tomorrow night. But Lopez alone assures the Mets will put up a stinker.
Memo to Mets: With Ollie available to pitch next week, just cut Redding loose. As BoBro would say:
Why is Tim Redding a major league pitcher? |

How the fuck is that digusting dirtbag Pukalis beating the sexy and talented Teixera? Not only that but Teixera has been fucking AMAZING this season. It's probably those stupid fucking Boston fans cheating and stuffing the ballots. Is this seriously a Yankee fan complaining about another team's players getting more votes just because they're more popular? Seriously? Well, 1973 was the worst division ever. Winning team went 82-80 or something like that. Here's the lowest division winners 2005 Padres 82-80 (.506) 1973 Mets 82-79 (.509) 2006 Cardinals 83-78 (.516) 1984 Royals 84-78 (.519) 1997 Astros 84-78 (.519) 2008 Dodgers 84-78 (.519) and a couple at 85-77. The 1981 Royals went 50-53 (.485) but got into the playoffs because of the convoluted compromise caused by the strike. The 1994 Rangers were 52-62 (.456) at strike time, while the Dodgers were 58-56 (.509). That was the first year of the three-division format and one can only wonder what would have happened if the Rangers had managed to limp into October with a sub-.500 record. |

Sam Fuld already is batting .600 and gets an infield single.
I love this little man. |

Scott Podsednik lined out to short on a 2-3 count. Pretty slick, huh?

I'm still not really speaking to the Cubs, but MAN do I love Derrek Lee. And Sam Fuld has grown on me, too.

I believe you are looking at the wrong stats column, but I'm almost as happy that I don't have to watch Soriano's shitty leadoff hitting and even
worse fielding with that fucking hop. Do I think Sam's going to continue this performance for the rest of the year? No. But it's been a refreshing two
days.

I enjoyed watching yet another Grand Slam by D. Lee. Those Brew Crew peoples left Wrigley with their tails between their legs. (Of course, tomorrow... err...
today is another day.)

it's nice to come back from vacation and find out your little league team is in playoff contention. Evans playing first, Cora the leadoff hitter, Tatis
hitting clean up, a kid w/ no facial hair playing cf. lol
A few days after I left, I heard Beltran went on the dl and would be gone until after the all star break. considering their schedule, I figured the Mets would go on a prolonged losing streak and be 10 gb by the time I returned. when I checked out the usa today at the athens airport thursday morning and saw the standings, I had to put my hand over my mouth so I wouldn't laugh out loud. Ibanez goes on the dl and the Phillies fall apart at the seams. roflmao @ the powerhouse champs having a measly one game lead over the Brooklyn Cyclones. with three all star caliber players missing significant time, the Cyclones could be tied for first place by the end of the night Never heard of this Lopez guy pitching tonight so you can bet he'll pitch a gem. I see Livan has pitched quite well in his last few starts which means he's due to get bomed. No need to worry Phillies fans. I'm sure your team will manage to hold off the Cyclones this weekend. Anything short of a series sweep for the Phillies would be pretty embarrassing. And if the Phillies ever lost this series (lol @ the thought), it would be the ultimate humiliation. |

did you know that it's July and the Phillies haven't won a home series against a team not named the Nationals?
I just noticed that while looking at their schedule. lololol |

sarcasm/attempt to make it embarrassing once we get swept, but no dice. im expecting to win one maybe since after rodrigo effing lopez you get to tee
off on moyer again and then blanton on sunday. they of the 7+ ERAs at CBP.
