She's got big gums and that Carol Burnett jaw/chin. I get the Shelley Duvall comparison too. And just because a haircut's in, doesn't mean it's the one for you... Still, she's probably in my top 3 along w/ Kayla and Melissa.

I actually find him uncomfortable to watch most of the time because of the way he comes across to me as trying too damn hard to sell himself as some kind of dorky, charming, scamp of a dancer or whatever. Though Jeanette, who I think is dorky cute, could benefit greatly from a shorter, sassier haircut. And she ain't the only one who's coif challenged (see also: Randi, Kayla, and Caitlin). Good thing I didn't read this thread first I would have been even more underwhelmed. Who knows how serious her original critique was but all I got out of last night's rambling was that Brandon's popular and Mia's not going to crap on him while he's riding high. My top four is still Brandon/Melissa/Jeanine and Ade, I guess because no other guy has really stepped it up. Evan's a disappointment. Jason is graceful but not very strong. Kupono is sometimes interesting - last night was his best showing but he can be weak at times too. Phillip is a one style pony. Vitolio needs to go before he drowns someone. Dude's got serious face sweat issues. Karla will join him but only if the judges remember she's there. As much as the judges and choreos love and have said good things about Kayla I think she'll be Kherington-ed at top 10. Possibly Caitlin will go first but unless she gets a real standout dance I don't think Kayla win the popular vote.

Think Sabra, season 3. I don't think anyone thought she'd win until around the end... she was so goddamn boring, I didn't remember her half the time. When the judges started to rave for her skill and precision in her dancing (I particularly remember Mia, talking about how great she was in the stupid 'Waiting on the world to change' solo dance that each dancer had to do) I think America really started to take notice. Note that this was the ONLY american season that a girl won, and she was super invisible. So, it's possible for Kayla to win. She's definitely my favourite dancer, just based on skill. She looks a bit too albino and bland when she's standing still but when she dances she gets hot to me... like a blonde pale swedish god.dess or something. There has to be a reason why the choreographers love her so much, the judges do, Mia does (even pointing out that she usually doesn't like girls but likes Kayla) and the group dances always star her... look at last week's group dance. She was the front-center of the girl action, dancing in between Asuka and Jeanette, both ballroom dancers, and yet my eyes go to Kayla. She danced it just as well, and actually way hotter. Why else would they have her as the center dancer instead of the other ballroom girls? Cause she's such an awesome dancer. I feel like all the boring girls on this show (and let's be honest, most of the girls on this show are boring) depend on their partner for popularity. Particuarly with someone like Randi or Jeanine. As fierce as Jeanine has ended up being, if she had been paired with someone like Vitolio or Maks or Tony, she would have sunk as well. Phillip sucks ass but he's popular, which has really helped her. Kayla was stuck with boring old Maks, who... im sorry, looks like an old balding man. Now that she's with Kupono, and hopefully later when/if she's with some more popular guys, she'll get more attention from the teenies who vote on this show. I hope so, cause I fucking love watching her dance.

They almost always come up with solid routines yet they never seem to get the same acclaim as Mia Michaels or Wade or Sonya or Napoleon/Tabitha. At this point, Melissa and Jeannette are my favorite girls, they're the only ones left with distinct personalities. Of the guys, I'm liking KaPono again--hope he never mentions to do lists again. And I like Evan, even if he needs to step it up.

Who makes a Paso about people hating each other? I can see passion being hatred, but it just seems like an ill-conceived concept. This week, though, their Two-Step was really quite clever.

They held back stars for the fall season (which will have harsher competition for ratings) instead of picking the 20 best. I'll be interested to see how the dancers are in the fall though. Having auditions in the summer will get them students who are off for the summer which could be good.
