I rarely use any kind of painkillers anyway, so when I do need one usually 2 ibuprofen tabs are enough to knock me out. My wife, on the other hand, takes them on an almost daily basis. I keep warning her about that but she doesn't listen.

And yes, you can still get Oxycontin, fentanyl and morphine- but those are Schedule 2 meds, and thus much harder to get. While percocets and Percodans are schedule 2 as well, Hydros are schedule 3, which means they don't need a DEA number, are easier to get and are normally given out pretty easily. Oh well- glad I got clean before this shit-storm hit.

I started running at the beginning of the year and I couldn't have functioned for a few months without daily advil. I eat four at a time. I wonder what my innards look like?

An MD/NP/PA can prescribe schedule 2/3/4/5 drugs as they see fit; it isn't "more difficult". Also, hydrocodone and oxycodone are already available without acetaminophen as I give them regularly.
