I hate Bill and Sookie. I want that minotaur thing to impale them each on one of its horns!

Did any of you ever read The Magus? Both it and the Mary Ann storyline remind me vaguely of some of the story line of that book.

That moment when Jessica gathers all her courage and orders a True Blood was the moment when I finally embraced the character completely.
And her hair looks better. Less orangey. |

Last year, the first time he met Chow, Bill was playing Wii golf
So did Bill throw Jessica off of Hoyt because he thought he was protecting Hoyt from Jessica or was it a fatherly thing about a man taking advantage of his little girl? |

And she does things without consulting him, without his permission. I started to really like Jessica in this one, and the actor who plays Hoyt is priceless. |

Bill is just as boring & overrated as the Wii
Anybody else completely grossed out at that scene where that doctor was raking her fingers through Sookie's back? That was disgusting, especially when she was pulling that gunk out or whatever that shit was. I can't wait for them to go to Dallas so we can meet some new vamps.. not that I don't like the backwoods Louisiana setting but it's getting boring. And ITA about Hoyt and Jessica. They're so adorable <3 I'm glad Hoyt finally found somebody, he was everyone's whipping boy last season. |

I think Dr Ludwig pulled a minotaur (for lack of a better word) claw out of her back, Spunkee.
Re the Sookie likability, I think that since she's finally found someone (vamps) that appreciates her gift instead of treating her like a retard, it's going to her head. She's not overestimating her value so much as just finally realizing that she has some and giving it a test drive. I also don't mind that she's juvenile with her Bill-relationship since it's her first; it seems worse, though, because he's so much more worldly and old-fashioned, which doesn't always play off of modern well. At least she's more Buffy than that Twilight chick...I think I'm a Sookie apologist! |

It's just that she's white trash and small town. That's where all her odd qualities come from.

See, I don't think she's white trash at all. I do think she's country as all hell, but I wouldn't say she's trashy.

Certainly not as much as Arlene.
However, the ballsy parts of her personality (like her having no problem getting into fights) are the white trash coming through |

My problem with Sookie is that she ALWAYS mad at someone and yelling at them and usually for no good reason

True Blood's Stephen Moyer on Anna Paquin: 'My Girl is Hardcore!'Originally posted Wednesday July 01, 2009 08:30 AM EDT
At least, according to True Blood's Stephen Moyer - the brooding Brit who plays Southern vampire Bill Compton and throws punches with costar and real-life love Anna Paquin. "When I was a boy I loved boxing," he tells Access DirecTV magazine in its July issue of his off-screen pastime. "And I've got Anna into it." Of their love for the brutal hobby, Moyer adds, "I like the sport and she likes the blood. I'm like, 'Stop the fight, people are getting hurt, I can't bear it!' and she's going, 'Go on, hit 'em!' She loves it. She boxes too." But can chivalrous vampire Bill beat telepathic cutie Suki in the ring? "No way!" he says. "She won't stop until she's gnawed your stumps off. I tell you, my girl is hardcore." |

So long as we agree it's a customary plot device of usually bad writers -- writing a character that is dumber than reason says they should be - I'm OK
with the Sookie frustration.
The Magus?Man, those were the days. |

I just did a huge marathon the past 2 days and watched the entire first season. Then a few from Season 2 I am now caught up, trouble is I don't have HBO,
so I'm having to wait for them to show up online. I think the last one I watched was Scratches.
I LOVE ERIC I am beyond intrigued by MaryAnn, and can not wait to find out her motives. I don't think it seemed like Daphne knew her when they spoke at the bar. Might have to watch it again to see. I can't even begin to guess on Daphne. I think she has an honest affection for Sam though, and don't think there is an intention of harming him. |

I honestly like all of the characters this season. I used to hate Jason, but he's so consistently dumb that I like him now.
