I can just imagine his wife knowing about the affair and, when people asked her where he was, fuming and telling them she has no idea, knowing it would get the attention it did. I am still numb and in shock. He is the LAST person I thought would do something like this.

I was gonna say Strom Thurmond was because he was old as hell, but then I remembered a particular incident. About 15 years ago my husband and his friend were at some shindig and Strom was there. They all happened to be hanging around the food table at the same time. They were eating caviar and chatting and Strom says: "Tastes like pussy don't it boys". Not exactly a scandal, but he was a dirty old fucker.
