They need to split. They were 22 when they got married and and he had no balls, she had balls and wore the pants and got used to it. Guess he found his balls and wanted his pants too!! Those kids will be well taken care of money wise, I am sure. TLC will pay them for at least 40 more episodes. Hope their parents are at least investing the money wisely. It would be great if the kids money was put in trust for them. If not, oh well, kids have grown up in much worse circumstances then these kids. They live through it and so will their idiot parents. Life goes on!! PS NYC is only about 4 or 5 hours by train, he could go every weekend if he needed to. C - He is not leaving them. He is not abandoning them. He is separating from their MOTHER. NOT THE KIDS. Honestly, shit like that pisses me off. Is he being a douche? Yes. Is he going through a midlife crisis? Absolutely. He's clearly miserable. By Kate's own admission, she's also been unhappy for a long time. If separating is what they need to do to get some peace and therefore be better parents, so be it.

I was trying to figure out where that "moving across country" came from and where it was said that he would see his kids "whenever." It sucks for everyone involved but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. The whole "stay together for the kids" thing is usually a mega disaster. Kids know when their parents hate each other! They're not stupid and they sense the tension. The kids will end up being better off in the long run. It will be sad for them but they'll adjust.

Yeah, Jon may be an immature party boy wannabe, but Kate is a raving bitch whom I sure as hell couldn't live with. Their marriage failed. They're both to blame. End of story. The kids are the only victims here, and the fact that Kate and Jon will continue to film, while the children go through the most traumatic experience of their lives, demonstrates unequivacably to me that BOTH of them are selfish pieces of shit. The silver lining here is that in 30 years, their therapy should be relatively easy. It won't take years for their therapists to bring out childhood traumas....they can just watch the tapes.

Kate on the other hand was totally playing up the woe is me sympathy card for the cameras. She's probably as excited to be away from Jon as he is to be away from her. It's sad and pathetic they're allowing the show to go on now that the charade of a marriage is officially over. If either of them care about the kids then they should cease filming asap and allow the kids to deal with the divorce in private.
