IF ... IF ... IF there is ONE killer, then it has to be Wakefield. Maybe the accomplice is/was his spawn -- Shane? Booth? Maybe the clips for next week are
so that all of the people getting involved with the show are not disappointed at the end. Who knows?
If the killer IS NOT Wakefield, then the accomplice or killer drove the sheriff's truck, and/or the accomplice/killer is with the sheriff at the inn, tying up the sheriff. The only two unaccounted for (not in the Cannery) are Cal and Sully, (or, someone who faked a death, isn't on the bingo card, etc.), barring the editing and time lapse (that we don't know).
For the Harper's Globe crowd, Wakefield makes sense as the killer/stalker/videographer. Maybe Ben (in the first episode) recognized Wakefield, and so he was killed in a gruesome way, to make sure that he couldn't tell anyone. Wakefield would also be able to continue his murderous activities on the mainland.
Wakefield as the killer also fits in with the diary entries that were "I wasn't guilty [of the unknown felony that I did 17 years for], but they're all going to pay [and pay and pay and pay]."
Jimmy could be Wakefield's spawn, and is now conveniently with the rest of the fodder in The Cannery. At the end, he can claim that he doesn't know what happened to all the dead people in the bar when Abby comes back, he explains what has happened (at the lighthouse) and Sully (and possibly Cal) will come back with the boat.
I think I'm pretty tapped out at this point.
