My dad died just over 2 years ago. He was very much a hands on father. He'd tell corny jokes, and stupid one-liners. He'd give it his all to try and
make someone smile. He was a very patient person, and I loved him very, very much. He died suddenly and unexpected. I miss him a lot.

Gotta love the one-liners. I've heard the same ones since childhood and he still thinks they're funny.

I got lucky.
My dad has always been there for me and still is. He's 81, plays golf 4 times a week and has been happily married to my ma for 53 years. |

My dad is one of those quiet heroes who did a great job uniting a family in really tough times. He taught lessons, but mostly just led by example. I'm so
grateful for him.

I never got say goodbye to Pops. He was the Rock of Gilbraltar for our family, which is slowly falling apart.

Sometimes a father is not the one that gave the sperm to make you, it can be an uncle, a grandfather or someone else that has provided the parental figure for
you and has somehow shaped your personality. If that is who helped you shape up, that is the one you celebrate for tomorrow.
