With so many pages of spoilers lately, I'm guessing that something big will happen this episode! Although I'm dying to know, I'm trying to resist temptation. After all, it's Saturday already ... Anyway, I haven't changed my mind from what I said some 50 pages pages back. I still think that Henry is the killer, that he is a very clever psycho who has relished killing people long before this return to the island, that he has one or two accomplices or helpers (the main one being Nikki), that when they were younger Nikki and he were a deranged love couple doing dangerous things, etc., etc. And if there is a third accomplice, I'm still keeping an eye on the mysterious gardener. I've considered Jimmy and Maggie, too, but only in passing. And Cal, too, since the first episode, but no, I've settled for Henry and Nikki and maybe the gardener. From reading this week's and last week's pages, it seems that lots of people have gotten into the Maggie wagon. I highly doubt that is it she. That's because it wouldn't be hip for her to be the killer! I mean, when I saw the cast, she was the one who I chose right away ... but afterwards I realized the reason why I had picked her: she would be the likeliest killer in a TRADITIONAL mystery novel in the Agatha Christie or Conan Doyle mold. I just don't think that a modern series like this one would want to revert to traditional molds. For people saying that Henry would be too obvious, maybe it would be to you, and to guys who post in sites like this one, but not necessarily to the more average viewers. I bet that many average viewers didn't suspect Henry at all until his most incriminating scene - the killing of JD. And even that scene can be interpreted as either proof or denial that he is the murderer. Folks who don't believe so might perhaps feel that something isn't quite right, but will still say that he couldn't possibly kill his own brother (nevermind that he's adopted, that we've seen Henry's violent streak with JD before, and that psychos won't necessarily restrain themselves from killing family). In my mind, the killing of JD was totally unplanned by Henry, and it happened in the heat of the moment, only because JD caught Henry (or Nikki or both). It was so unplanned that Henry had no time to come up with an alibis or a logical explanation! Here's something about which I'm wondering, though: were the scratches in Henry's face and arm from fingernails (as is long, female fingernails)? It kind of looked like that to me, but I didn't feel completely sure. If so, I'll have to come up with some crazy story i to explain this -- like, Nikki scratching Henry during a fight over the killing of JD. Damn. I'm not half done, and this is long enough already that almost nobody will read it ... Well, just one question, then: can anyone talk about Henry's and JD's parents? I think I read that they were teachers and that they died in a car accident. (Accident? Yeah right.) We also know that Harkin was visited by the father (and by JD) when Harkin was at the hospital. Is that all? Nothing known about the mother? And is Henry supposed to be the adopted one, or is it JD? I didn't completely hear that conversation that Henry had about this with the sheriff. About that conversation - there was "pregnant silence" and a "meaningful look" exchanged at some point, right after Henry or the sheriff said something about Henry's parents. I read it as, "there is something painful that we both know about, and that for the well-being of either one or both of us, must not be verbally expressed." (To me, this could be about Henry being Wakefield's son, and about the sheriff knowledge that Henry is his daughter' brother. So many things point to Henry as being Henry's child that I'll be surprised if that doesn't turn out to be the case.)

Shoo. Why did the message above came all together as one endless paragraph??? As if it wasn't long enough already that nobody was likely to read it!!!! Can somebody tell me how to break into paragraphs?
