Could this be one of the clues we've been promised is scattered throughout the series? Madison has a new friend and she also talks to ghosts. hmmm... who could be her friend and also a "ghost"? You seem dead set on your theory that Booth is dead, and I'm deadset on mine: he's still a strong suspect. In fact, I'm positive of one of two things: either he's still alive or the writers purposely left his death open-ended and vague and lame so that half the viewing audience thinks he's still alive. Otherwise, why not kill him off in a cool way like all the others? There is something off about his death scene and it was purposely left that way. Spoiler [+] In this past episode, Jimmy is caught in a huge explosion, but we don't see his body. He ends up alive. Every other character is shown dying or we see their body, except Booth's. Why are people so willing to accept Jimmy's post-mortem reappearance and refuse to accept a possible return by Booth? Either way, I find it shocking that so many people are so firmly following the "rules" set out by the show's marketers and producers. They want the show to be interesting and unpredictable. They're not going to be 100% honest with the audience. Spoiler [+] We've just seen that the writers are willing to break the marketer's rules, as there is now probably more than one killer. (I think Wakefield is killing locals and someone else is killing guests) I'm not positive that Booth's alive, but I'm positive that it was meant to be a possibility. Don't write it off so quickly.

As someone who usually roots for the nerds and people like that, I have to say it's a bit stupid to think that he's still alive. Unless there is some massive conspiracy then I don't see how it's even possible since we haven't even heard about Booth for a while now. His death was lame but I shall read you something from an interview with him on why his death was meant to be that way: Sean: They've got some gruesome stuff. I think mine was meant more for the effect, with it being between the friends. It wasn't really about the killer or anything like that. It was to signify what these people will do right now even for money and if they're capable of doing that to a good friend, then what else is everybody capable of. I know everyone knows that someone is the killer but I think this kind of adds to it when you see the stuff they'll do to one another when it comes to something as simple as money. Even when you see the way it's effecting Malcolm, but he's still doing it. I mean what drives a person to do that? Is he capable of more and so on and so forth. BOOTHY.IS.DEAD. I highly doubt that he faked his death, got buried, resurrected himself when Malcolm left and neatly and nicely covered his grave back up. End of story. If he is still alive, which I honestly would not mind since I liked him, I will eat my foot. DONE.

For weeks some of us were mocked because we thought that because the actor who played Booth said that we would see his character again, either alive or dead, that this meant that maybe, just maybe, because we hadn't seen his dead body, and episode 1 editing clues, and the oddities of his "death scene" that maybe, just maybe, his character might still be alive. They told us that we couldn't believe the actor, but we had to trust the marketers and advertisers (of all people), who probably hadn't actually seen the show before marketing it, and that what they said was holy gospel and sacred text. Booth may indeed be dead, and I'll laugh at myself if he is, but the one's really looking foolish are the control freaks who shouted, "one killer, ONE killer, and ONLY one killer with NO accomplices" -- because that's what the advertisers said it. ROFLMAO

Posts: 800 (06/19/09 8:33 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I'll re-post my original suspicion post (with some additions, all as spoilers or bolded) on why I think the killer is Henry (then I shifted and wanted a random %%!%$% victory, but que sera sera): --- I still think it's Henry, if only for the cliched BFFL Abby/Henry showdown at the end. Henry wants everyone to like him; the Harper's Island folks don't. He has a vendetta against the Wellington caste, and uses his bro as a human target. His relationship with Abby keeps him grounded, but it's sort of parasitic. Cousin Ben: ? Probably to be revealed. Uncle Marty: Making waves and upsetting his new life. Rev. Fain: Needed to set up the coup-de-grace for Wellington. Kelly: Becoming a "rock" for Abby and giving his brother some happiness. Lucy: ? (I need to re-watch; was she the bridesmaid insinuating something between Henry/Abby, or was that Chloe?) Hunter: Revenge. Wellington: Revenge; drive Trish more toward him. Richard: Upsetting Trish via the Katherine affair. Malcolm: His greed/causing Booth's death/causing upset amongst his friends. Take your pick. Deputy: Necessity. Cole Harkin: He "knew" and didn't want him telling the Sheriff and filling Abby in. JD: Taunting Henry that he knew. JD knew but wanted Henry to come clean on his own. Using JD as a scapegoat was worthless at that point. Beth: Not sure. She may have heard something and found the tunnels? Katherine: Upsetting Trish/Shea. She was probably next in line after Richard, but Henry became sidetracked with Malcolm and JD/Cole Harkin messing things up. Spoiler [+] State Guards: Necessity. Maggie: Close to Trish/Shea. Proving a point it is about the locals who never took a liking to Henry, an outsider. Sheriff: Getting close to Abby again. He was fine when they weren't. It's to make Abby more dependent on Henry. I read it as Henry -- an outsider -- wanting approval from the Harper's Island folks when he was the "Summer Kid." Only Abby gave him that affection, and now that he's "getting in" with them via marrying Trish -- and they still largely treat him like outsider trash -- he wanted to fit in so desperately. They've alluded to this multiple times. So he killed Trish's cousin, Ben. The reason will probably be revealed; maybe he was her "rock" and a critic of Henry. She was pretty dependent on him in the first episode. His own Uncle was fucking things up for him -- and was obvs there for another purpose (money and gun) -- so he had to go. Hunter is obvious. Trish's dad would not let it go over her marrying him, so he staged for Wellington's shocker murder (getting rid of the Reverend). How Lucy fits in? I'm not sure; her character was such a non-character to me. Richard upset Trish by having the affair, which Henry didn't account for. Goodbye. Malcom was screwing things up more with his greed. Gone. I think after this we'll see a big plot shift from Henry v. the Wellingtons/Harper Island elite to the thread of Henry and his only real friend Abby and some obsession with her. Mark it. Henry is the thread that links things like the Wellingtons and Abby. It was* just about having this perfect life with Trish -- which couldn't happen by being "Mr. Nice Guy" -- and now it's about betrayal by Abby who's screwing around with Jimmy. And with Trish now on the outs with him over her dad's death, that's why he kidnapped Madison -- as family blackmail. He'll turn on the people he "likes" -- Trish, Shea -- and go after them next. He'll probably off Katherine next, then Shea, leaving Trish to rot. As I said, JD/Cole mucked up the Wellington revenge, which is why Katherine had to wait. Henry wanted to "fit in" with the Harper's Islanders, but never did. He was a mainlander deckhand. He is getting them, one by one, as revenge. And it will shift into his relationship with Abby, probably as her half-brother. The wildcards are the "friends" that'll probably wig out and do something stupid. Chloe, Cal, Sully, Danny, Beth. The penultimate will be him turning on Abby -- his one "Harper's Island Friend" from the day -- and attack her relationships with Jimmy and her Dad. Spoiler [+] We already saw this, where he went after Jimmy, but offered the Sheriff a choice. Sheriff chose Abby's future (Jimmy) over her past (him) and so Henry offed the Sherrif. JD (now dead!) and Shane will be antagonists, but eventually die. Each will stick around to stoke the fire a bit, since the "friends" group is all either too aloof or incompetent to be players -- and it's definitely not any of the Wellingtons. Spoiler [+] Adding in stupid Wakefield sucks, but it links in as well. Both were Island outsiders. Henry has a special connection to Abby because she is also a product of an outsider: her mom. Henry wanted acceptance via marrying into the family -- the Wellingtons -- but they couldn't be his real family. Abby is his best friend -- his only friend there from childhood -- and more importantly, his sister. He and his "dad" Wakefield know about each other, but Henry is the killer. Also note how his groomsmen (friends) have yet to die unless they were fucking things up (Booth shot himself; Malcolm is obvious). The targets are locals, Wellingtons and their friends (Lucy/Beth), and now -- people close to Abby. That's the showdown. I expect Shea and Shane to go soon. Maybe Nikki, too.

They did not have to show us Cal asking for the 2 units of blood for the Sheriff. Little clinics like that one don't usually keep blood on hand. Cal could have just as easily cleansed & packed the wound, treated him for infection then called for air-vac to the mainland. They wanted us to see that there was a supply of blood in pouches available so we'd buy it when Booth is revealed to have faked his death. Booth used one as a prop.

That looks like something two people did together. We know Jimmy was on site when the harbormaster was killed by Wakefield (or his assistant). We also know from the Harper's Globe archives that Henry was down on the docks when the explosions happened. I really think this is a father/son thing and Wakefield's kid is either Henry, Jimmy or (just to add to AAA's emotional disturbances) Booth. We know that Wakefield's assistant/kid is very technologically savvy because he uploads videos and can shut down cell phone service selectively, and other such stuff. Someone labeled "The Nerd" could do that (just to add to AAA's emotional disturbances). The kid is either Henry or Jimmy. I believe Andy Cullen (a.k.a. "Cheshire Cat") when he said the killer was a "HE". Remember, he got the killer on a tape he tried to give to Robin before he died. Arguments for Henry: - He could have rigged the explosions 7 years ago while his dad was killing people. He then "hid" in plain sight by helping the Sheriff with the wounded. - He's been the prime suspect up till now, but of course, Wakefield could have killed any of these people giving everyon an alibi. - There is no romantic overtone between Abby and him. If they wanted to avoid the whole incest "ewww" thing, between Jimmy and Abby, then Henry's a better choice. - There is something odd between Henry and JD and having separate parents could have something to do with that. Arguments for Jimmy: - Why did Wakefield (or his assistant) let Jimmy go without chasing him OR why would Wakefield even make the trade for Jimmy's life unless Jimmy was his son? - Someone has been leaving candles and crap on Wakefield's grave, which makes it most likely a local. What about Nikki: - I just believe Andy Cullen was reporting who he saw in the video. Also, I don't think her discovery of Kelly was an "act" since there was no one around. - The killer did let Nikki live, but I think it was more of a timing issue. Dumb Maggie (who I had thought wasn't worried enough about her own personal safety) was walking into a trap or was caught by the killer. So Nikki seems to have been just incredibly, incredibly lucky. Also, her father died around the time of the original killings, according to the news archives. Perhaps that's the body in Wakefield's grave. What about Abby: - There is still the slight possibility that Abby could be doing some of the killings as part of a bad seed. What if the "Ave Maria" phone calls are a signal to her? Chances are though the final episode will be Wakefield's assistant chasing her through one of thos grand horror movie chases, perhaps the iconic lighthouse. - Note: We never do see Wakefield's face the entire time we see flashbacks of the original killings. It could be that isn't Wakefield at all in those flashbacks, but his assistant to helps Wakefield string up the harbor master. A word about Harper's Globe: - This was created after Harper's Island. The writer's were probably told, this is the killer in HI, now write a parallel story happening at the same time for online content where the killer is the same and there is social networking with the HI characters. It could very well be the mystery is not as complex as the one on HI and when the HG producers weren't thinking in terms of the "bingo card" when it was revealed the killer was a "he". The Bingo Card probably came from the advertisers long after both HI and HG were in the can.

It could very well be the mystery is not as complex as the one on HI and when the HG producers weren't thinking in terms of the "bingo card" when it was revealed the killer was a "he". The Bingo Card probably came from the advertisers long after both HI and HG were in the can. I bet in school even after the teacher told you the answer wasn't A you still picked A
