It looks like Adam's goose is about to be cooked on The Young and the Restless. Next week, Rafe plans to search Adam's room to find out proof the Newman menace is framing his aunt Estella. By now you'd have to have been living under a rock not to know Adam will kiss Rafe to try to throw him off the scent, but sources are indicating there's more than a buss in store for this twosome- much more!

The kiss will reportedly lead to Adam embarking on a scandalous affair with Rafe in order to keep the young attorney from spilling his secrets, all the while continuing to bed Heather! Talk about blind man's bluff! Keep checking back with Daytime Confidential as this liquid hot story progresses!

Victor begins to suspect that an angry Mary Jane is in cahoots with Estella re: Ashley's gaslighting. Mary Jane is confronted by Victor at the ranch and Adam overhears the whole conversation. As Victor and Mary Jane argue, Adam learns that Mary Jane was brought to town by Victor in a plot against Jack and files the information for future use. Interesting to note, with Adam and Mary Jane being thrust into each other's orbit, this may give credence to the Sharon/Ashley baby rumor.

Meanwhile, Phyllis is arrested when Mary Jane sets it up to look as if Phyllis purposely poisoned her own child. Understandably, Phyllis is furious and Mary Jane may want to watch her back!

This week, Estella is arrested for the gaslighting of Ashley even though Adam is the one who committed the crimes.

"Ashley's convinced Estella is guilty, that she's behind all the weird things that have been happening to her," says Eileen Davidson. The arrest happens after a box is delivered to the Newman mansion which contains the stone baby's head from Sabrina's mother/child statue. "Ashley opens it and is like 'Oh my God! What is somebody doing this to me?!'" recounts Davidson. "Victor's had enough and calls the police."

Meanwhile, Rafe and Estella speak to Victor about what's been going on. "Ashley agreed to have Estella tell her side of the story," notes Davidson. "But while Estella was on her way over to the ranch with Rafe, the baby's head was delivered. So Ashley starts thinking Estella is behind it."

The police arrive and Victor asks Gil to compare the fingerprints on the box with Adam's, Estella's and Rafe's. "Ashley is hoping she's finally going to get some closure, that the police are going to find out who's behind this," notes Davidson. Later, the results from the test come back and the prints match Estella's! "Ashley is like, 'There's the proof. Everybody has to believe it now. It can't be Adam. It has to be Estella.'" recounts Davidson. "But Estella keeps saying this is all a big mistake."

Estella is taken into custody by Gil, while Victor comforts Ashley by promising that her torment is finally over. "Ashley believes she can put this behind her now," says Davidson. "She can close this chapter. It's done."

On the day of Estella's arraignment, Victor asks Ashley not to go to the courthouse, and she promises him she'll stay away. "Ashley doesn't have any intention of going," insists Davidson. "But at the last minute, she realizes she really needs to be there. This woman has tried to destroy her life. Ashley needs to get some closure and make sure Estella is taken care of so she doesn't have to worry about her anymore."

When Ashley turns up at the courthouse, she confronts both Estella and Nikki. "She tells Estella that even though she's been released on bond, she needs to watch herself. Ashley is on to her now."

When Nikki tells Ashley that she still believes Adam is the one who's really responsible for the gaslighting, Ashley immediately jumps to Adam's defense. "It's not like Ashley is completely naive," says Davidson. "But whenever something happened to her that made her think Adam might be responsible, something happened that cleared him. Ashley tells Nikki that Adam has always been there for her, and that he is practically blind. She really believes there's no way he could be behind this."
