Nah, it was probably in good nature. And hey, one mistake out of who knows how many responses isn't bad by any means.

Once when I was working at the Red Cross we sent out a press release that said "We provided 2300 people with HIV/AIDS education"... except they left
out the word "education". I was mortified.

Eliza, I saw you on Reality Obsessed the other day. How was Murtz's after party? It looked fun.
(Yeah, I'm pretty late about that...) |

Hi Eliza, you are one of my favorite Survivor's. I was lucky to acquire your Vanuatu torch a few years back from the Elizabeth Glaser Foundation. I thought
that I would post some pics of it.

The Vanuatu torches were never auctioned. During the Guatemala auctions I had won some items that unfortunately got lost by UPS. Elizabeth Glaser Foundation
gave me the option of a refund or that I could pick some items that were left over from there warehouse. I asked if they had any torches, it turned out that
they had 4 Vanuatu torches which were yours, Bubba's, Brady's and one other that they had no idea whose it was. I asked for yours to replace the lost
items. I also have this painted bottle used some where in your season. Do you have any idea who painted it?

racortez wrote:Yes! Oh my god!! Ami Cusack painted that bottle and it's one of the few things that survived because all of our treemail was burned by Julie, Scout, Twila, and Leann the night of the huge rainstorm when Chad, Chris, Ami, and I were at the village so they could keep the fire going. The only reason the bottle survived is because it's glass! Isn't it beautiful. Wow. I can't believe they just had our torches sitting there in the warehouse! That's so crazy!!! I asked SO many times about my torch and they told me to just look out for it on ebay and if it didn't come up, it was probably lost in transition. |

Thanks for the info on the bottle. It still has a seashell inside of it. The bottle is very beautiful. I found out when I got your torch that some of the
Vanuatu torches were sold privately thru Elizabeth Glaser or given away to some of the workers at Elizabeth Glaser. I know one collector in Chicago has a few
of the torches. I believe he has Chad's, Scout's, JP's, John K's, & Mia's and he recently sold Brook's torch to Brook on ebay.
