CMT is now "Country Music by Taylor." It is a travesty.

You can't even vote without her picture being right next to the polls.

I hate to say this Good thing Carrie wasn't there tonight because she lost twice to Taylor "I Have to Steal Everything from Carrie" Swift... i just hope she wasn't watching because it seems to me that all of our hard work of voting for Carrie on these awards show aren't falling to our favor and its seems to me that someone or somebody is keeping Carrie from winning i don't know about you..

Yeah, I used to enjoy the CMTs every year...but after this...I doubt I'll watch next year of course unless Carrie is performing.

But really who didnt see TS winning it with them leaving her performance w/ Def Leppard until last? ...I agree with the whole ending the show w/ Def...makes no sense...

I think fans of other artists are going to start to get sick of Taylor winning everything, and she is going to get backlash... just like Carrie may have tonight.

When you win too much, people start to resent you. Perhaps that is what happened to Carrie. So now, it will happen to Taylor too (hopefully) as she swept the CMT awards 2 years in a row now. It is becoming a major joke, and an insult to everyone else in country music.

I think this may indirectly work in Carrie's favor for the CMAs. the voters might be sick of TS winning and also her attitude when she wins.

Justice is slow, but it does come around. It just takes time.


Well let's see if I can be nice about this hmmmm no I can't(!) Taylor Swift is one of the most over hyped performers I've ever seen in my life(!) And she comes out sings and can't even makeit into the same room with her hype.no wonder she lip synced at the fest because when she really sings bad things happen to everybodys ears! You know what though no one seems to care especialy her fans that must under some kind trance or living in some kind of alternate universe where all you need is to shake your body around the stage like a King Cobra on Acid(!) Im glad Carrie wasn't there if she would of went they probably would of made her sing JAD as a duet with Taylor(!)


Hey guys, I'm as disappointed as anyone...but let's not let what we all agree is a ridiculous excuse for an "awards program" ruin our night...let's just all go to bed smiling knowing that TS has to have a rigged show to win an award....and be glad our girl didn't have to be there to witness this dreadfull 2 1/2 hrs.


Its rigged. I can NOT stand Taylor! Its not fair, shes hardly country at all! Its bull, but w/e. These awards are a joke anyway. CMA's and ACM's get the most respect & award in the end. She's just gonna get more haters anyway bc people are sick of seeing her win everything there.


In 20 or 30 years or whatever, Taylor's fans are going to be older and she will be less popular because I honestly cannot imagine her making anything other than teen "love storyish" music. During that same time, because Carrie's music appeals to all ages, I think she will be more popular. She can sing anything and be more popular in the long run. As long as she can talk and sing, I will listen, even if she is an 80 year old singer.

Rule number 1: The CMT awards are nice, but not really important. Winning grammys, FVOTY, and EOTY awards are important.

Rule number 2: If you're still angry, see rule number one.


What the 10 Things I dislike about Taylor are:

1. She can't sing
2. She's goofy looking
3. She has no talent
4. She writes immature songs about teenage love life
5. She has a rich father who got her into the business
6. She has a huge ego
7. She panders toward the bubblegum pop crowd
8. She's friends with Miley Cyrus
9. She made her family move to Nashville from Pennsylvania before she got a record deal
10. She butchers covers of great songs


It's not as if TS got an award for vocals...it was video award...and I do believe those are the kind of awards TS will get..things to do with production, and songwriting when deserved of course..but vocals...NEVER!!!


Im a fairly new convert to country music alot of that has to do with Carrie obviously but ive grown to like alot of the music! Artists ive noticed instead of promoting themselves generaly promote the genre and the history of the music. Thats my main problem with Taylor even more than her singing is she seems to be just in it for herself and that cant be good for country music!


There seems to be a building groundswell against Taylor Swift. From the lip synching thing at CMA Fest, to winning these awards & all the performance slots that she was given on this show, I believe there are many out there that are getting more than a little tired of having this girl shoved down our throats. Even on the CMT thread discussing the winners, she is getting some flack, & we all know CMT is Taylor central.

Last year I was stunned by Carrie shut out at the CMT award. Then realized it was produced by people behind MTV who gave awards to second rated actors that have no chance at the Oscar.. This year, I have no high hope of Carrie wins and I can understand why T.S so wanting to win. She better prayed CMT does not suddenly turned around to take music seriously, since it is the only country award T.S can beat Carrie thanks to tween votes.
