They're in a jungle 24 hours a day. That's a big difference. It's also being shown on other channels. MTV, UK channels, and now in Asian countries. The networks are making a mint on this, they should also pay their cast well. Not everyone is paid the same salary. I've heard five to six figures per show depending upon who the cast member is. I've also heard weekly, but I would go by what was revealed in court.

My guess is that Speidi and Sanjaya got the most. They were the ones most featured in the ads, and still are. Janice and Stephen would be up there, but they are sort of overkill with reality series. They do have a following, but I believe that the MTV tie in is more important. NBC wants their viewers and demo. Lou probably is being paid well because they needed another name since there are too many obscure cast members. The rest of them are probably getting peanuts, as in five figures, because most people were like WTF? Who are they? Frangela were most likely paid the least, since they didn't seem to enthused to stay there. John Salley seems to want out too.

Klass is getting that much? Crazy. If the cast isn't getting paid much more, they should file a class action suit. From what I've seen, no one can stand the hosts of the show and people are tuning in to see the cast members.

I've found conficting reports on what they offered Rod. Some say $80,00 a week, some say an episode. I think an episode seems more like it. If not, the cast is getting royally screwed.

eta, to put it in perspective, they are working seven days a week 24 hours by being on the campsite. Unless Frangela and Daniel Baldwin are lying, they are. The show is drawing on their followings for viewers. If they are paying Klass that much for a following in the UK, they must be paying the cast in a similar manner.
