Knowing that, why were you willing to tie it up when Mia left? Was there something we weren't shown or did you think you were doomed to be a pre-merge boot if you didn't tie that vote?
Because you have the opportunity for a re-vote. Ami had promised me that she would change her vote for the re-vote to avoid the purple rocks and she felt like that wasn't as bad as if she didn't vote for Mia the first time because then she felt like she wasn't lying to anyone or betraying her alliance. If Lisa hadn't screwed it up, Mia would've still been around.

Another random question: Was there an actual possibility of pulling off a coup at the F9 in Vanuatu? Or what was going on in that round which we didn't see? I re-watched that episode recently, and some things were kind of unclear, and there was talk of a coup. |

The thing is that the editing was so strongly anti-Ami in Vanuatu, when really she was playing a great game and since Lisa was not in the Cult of Ami, Lisa was
a threat and Ami was smart to want her out. Somehow in the editing that became "Ami is a paranoid bitch and poor Lisa is the victim." But yeah, the
Lisa boot was entertaining; one of my fave Vanuatu episodes.

wasn't you, but I feel Exile Island had also shown Cirie's devious side. Is it possible that the fatigue you described was actually gameplay by Cirie
to avoid being associated with her EI edit?
Or did the favorites just not watch EI? I feel like Cirie was able to get away with so much. And Ami, who stayed with her alliance to the bitter end, was also suspect. It was just weird to me..... I don't like Micronesia nearly as much as Vanuatu and this is really the only question I have, because I don't think the relationships and strategy there were as interesting or passionate as they were in Vanuatu (the tribal council where Ami was voted out was one of my favorite ever. It was so *real* when you guys started crying.... you knew Ami had to go but it was hard to do. IMO that's what missing from newer Survivor seasons.) |

No offense to you, but the fact that you were in scramble mode almost 100% of the time in both seasons contributes to your <3. As much as it sucked for you
as a player, I'm not sure I want to see an Eliza that is safe in the game. Scramble Eliza was so damn fun to watch both times, dodging so so many bullets
until finally succumbing (though I was disappointed you didn't win Vanuatu.) But that was IMO part of your problem. Yeah, you never had a solid alliance in
Vanuatu. But that meant that you always had to do what you had to do in that season, which is why I can understand Parvati/Ozzy's suspicions (and of
course, Amanda/James were just followers of whatever and Cirie would logically want to be in the 3/4 dumb alliance than the 4/4 smart alliance.)

Cirie first made an alliance with Yau Man to share idol info and it was a stupid move by Yau Man that made Cirie change alliance. And I have a hard time calling Jonathan's Cook Island game smart. The man is smart undoubtedly but few ever threw their game down the toilet as thoroughly as he did. Amy also wasn't playing a "smart" game in Vanuatu, simply following a recipe: Form an alliance and stay loyal to it. Pulling in Eliza for the first vote and Julie after the merge were good moves but not seeing what Scout and Twila were up to wasn't. I'd call it a good game but not more than that. Amanda's game in China was better. |

As it were, only 2 out of 6 players stayed by her side. 3- Ami should have offered Eliza a F2 deal rather than try to vote her out at 7. Todd and Amanda created a strong alliance in Fei Long and kept the outsiders happily unaware of their place in the hierarchy. Ami and Leann kept Yasur divided into two groups and their alliance fell apart because the outsiders knew where they stood. Ami's game lacked the robustness of Amanda's: It was good but it was too easily derailed.
