I was disturbed to find myself thinking about this during the day. How can something so poorly done be so nonetheless mesmerizing days later?

I know how. Since it's logistically impossible for anyone other than Maggie or the bar bitch to be the murderer, the number of inevitably retarded conclusions - only one of which will clumsily play out - is nothing short of mind-boggling. |

If Maggie was the killer, I think I'd just let out a laugh. It'd be a "fuck you for not watching our show" ending.

My version of Harper's Island is SO much better than this! My killer will be SO shocking. Ask me if you're interested or check my profile out.
Anyway Henry is the killer. Word. |

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if it all turned out to be the dream of someone in suspended animation on their trip to Mars.

I wass sort of thinking that it is going to be Jimmy, much to my chagrin (since he is hawt, and since it is obvious).
But he has ties to the island. Wakefield could be his dead daddy or something. Plus, Abby abandoned him after the murders. And since it is apparently "all about Abby" - well... Also he is never around for any of the murders. Well, that was my feeling until JD bit it in the most recent eppy. That was the first time it would have been technically impossible for him to have murdered someone (since JD was running around the docks while Jimmy was in the truck with Abby. Then when he went one way, two seconds later Abby heard JD dying in the opposite direction). But, I wouldn't put it past the writers to have Jimmy be the Killer anyway, since he was "offscreen" for 3.5 seconds before JD's dying gasps started. Additionally, he was added to the opening credits recently (fairly certain he was not there in the earliest eppys). P.S. Gigi <3 <3 <3

Damn this silly mystery show, which is making me de-lurk.
I'm trying to track down what we know about Nikki so far. Have you guys noticed that, under the cast photos, she is identified as "the biker chick"? Has she ever talked about owning a bike, or something like that? ... Why not call her "the bartender" or "the bar manager." (I mean, that's all we've seen her do) ... I'm just thinking that "biker chick" is meant to suggest a "hell's angel" type -- dangerous, adventurous, criminal ....... Also, check out her bio in the official website: "Nikki Bolton (played by Ali Liebert) is an old friend of Abby's who lives on the island and manages The Cannery, a bar on the island. She's a tough, sexy, straight-talking local who doesn't back down from confrontation. She's thrilled Abby's back on the island, and looks forward to having fun while the wedding party's in town." She "doesn't back down from confrontation"? Have we seen any sign of that yet? And she looks forward to "having fun" while the wedding party's in town. Hmm. What kind of fun is she after? ... Would that be fun as in "let me off 'em wedding people one by one"?? I remember well the last 2 scenes in which Nikki showed up: -- when she and Abby were teenagers, and Abby was talking to her about hooking up with Jimmy -- at the bar, when she told Cal about the other guy who had found the ring but I don't remember the earlier scenes in which Nikki first appeared. Anyone? I think there was one scene in which Abby and she met at the bar, maybe during the scavenger's hunt, but I don't remember what they talked about. And what can one learn about Nikki at Harper's Globe? |

Here is her blog on HG after she found Kelly:
I do not believe Nikki is the killer. I predict because of her unique function as a social networking character, Nikki will still be alive at
the end of HI and HG.

Just to confuse things, Cheshire Cat is apparently leaving blog posts from beyond the grave to help Robin track the killer:

Fever wrote: Yes, during the scavanger hunt episode she was in a few scenes, Abby asked her who Kelly was, she had changed since highschool and abby did not recognize her. Nikki also got mad at Lucy for putting the dog on the bar (then Lucy got torched) She (Nikki) also went to pick Kelly up and found her dead body and called sherriff. There was a small scene in another epi where she was giving Abby the crab roll recipe.

The last episode was the first time for me there was any suspense and things are finally kicking into high gear.
I was so worried for the black guy and thought for sure, especially after he vocalized concern about the generator being booby-trapped, that the truck was going to end up being booby-trapped and he would be killed. Thankfully he survived. My two suspects have been Henry & Nikki, but after the last episode I am suspecting Henry more and more. As someone else in here posted, in the last episode it all of a sudden struck me how similar Henry & Abby look. Even though I have been suspecting they are both spawn of Wakefield for a few weeks now, this last episode really seemed to drive it home that they actually look like they could be brother/sister. It has to be Henry. His parents died/were killed (hmm), his brother has been made to look crazy & framed for the murders (hmm). After the last episode Henry is now my only suspect and I will look forward to the reveal and his psycho crazy side finally coming out. I think Henry found out Wakefield was his dad & Abby was his twin sister, he killed his adoptive parents and has been plotting all these years to take revenge on Abby, who he partially blames for Wakefield's death and is also jealous of Abby, because their mother kept Abby but gave up Henry for adoption. He has serious issues. |

And any hint of Abby/Henry romance has been COMPLETELY absent. It's just as if that was something that was never, ever even remotely possible. Why? Because
they are potentially related, and the viewers aren't meant to go "eww" after they find out.

It is difficult for me to believe that Henry is the killer. He has lost the most of any of the 25 suspects from the murders that have happened so far. He has
lost his only 2 blood relatives and his wedding has been sabotaged by the sensational and shocking murder of the father of his bride to be.
Keeping it simple. If John Wakefield is indeed dead and if that was his skeleton that we saw then the murders are being performed by a Wakefield copycat killer. Wakefield hated the sheriff and wanted to remove what was most precious to the sheriff, namely, Abby. Wakefield (assuming that was him since we didn't see his face) failed to kill Abby after he was distracted by Jimmy and he was killed by the sheriff before he could kill Abby. The copycat killer intends to complete what Wakefield wanted to do now that Abby has returned to Harper's Island. Wakefield's diary will reveal these motives. Cole was stalking Abby (he was the man holding the dog leash) when she first got back to the island because he thought that Wakefield was still alive and he wanted to catch Wakefield by surprise and kill him during an attack on Abby. The copycat killer committed all the other murders because he wants to surpass what his role model John Wakefield did. Cal makes the most sense as the copycat killer but he has possible alibis for some of the murders. Unless there are multiple killers, the killer did not appear in episode 8. The logistics are just too horrendous for someone who was at the Candlewick Inn to travel to the prison, Harkin's cabin and the Marina in such a short period of time. None of the wedding guests even have access to a vehicle

Teaser clip at Harper's Island website for episode 9. Jimmy gave Henry some pages from John Wakefield's diary that fell out of JD's pocket. Abby
reads these pages which reveal that Abby's mom had a child wtih John Wakefield. Abby realizes that John Wakefield could be her father (it's not like
we didn't suspect this).
I speculate is that the child is not Abby but will turn out to be someone else.
