I think they moved it because it's gotten funnier than HIMYM and they're trying to give them a little distance.

I just wish they'd move HIMYM to a later time as well. I am always having to choose between House/Dancing with the stars/ BBT & HIMYM.
I usually record BBT because it's fun to rewind and hear the jokes again. I am in love with Sheldon. Seriously. he's so smart and stupid at the same time. love it. |

The move to 9:30 could indicate that Mr. Lorre wants BBT to get edgier, which will be a good thing.
But this means HIMYM gets less edgy. Bad thing. My bet though is that CBS has long had a string of 4 sitcoms between 8 and 10, one of which doesn't do as well and which is in the 9:30 slot. Maybe they're trying to break that curse. What will be in the 8:30 slot? |
