225. Penny Ramsey (Survivor: Thailand - 7th Place)

Yeah, I really did not like the Sook Jai tribe. That many young players on one tribe usually leads to an extremely boring tribe, because the editors make younger players with normal personalities look boring. Penny was pretty boring, aside from looking like a rat. I mean, she definitely seemed like she knew how to play the game, but the problem is that the strategy of "turn on your allies when you're already in the minority" usually makes you look untrustworthy and makes people want to take you out of the game. I don't remember a whole lot about Penny other than her hatred for Shii Ann, which sucked because Shii Ann was one of the best characters on the Sook Jai tribe and Penny was just a bitter bitch who hates azns. But I do like her for knocking Brian's anti-social ass down several pegs with her amazing jury question that Clay handled wonderfully.


224. Neleh Dennis (Survivor: Marquesas - 2nd Place)

And now we come to Sweet Pea Neleh, the first really major BOMBING of jury questions that set the tone for later players like Matthew, Amanda, and Stephen. Neleh was a sweetheart, which I understand is a role that the show needs to fill because a lot of people watch so that the good guys win and everyone can be happy. But still, I don't care for most sweethearts like Neleh because there's no real substance to them, while there are a LOT of better characters on their season that don't get nearly the same amount of praise. Neleh was just too damn immature for a game like Survivor, and it showed. She had the Elisa/Rodger thing going with Paschal, which was cute, I guess. And she did help stage the biggest coup (to that point) in Survivor history. But really, she was just too irritatingly upbeat and her failing the jury and the chewed mint episode just knock her down the list quite a bit.


223. Gregg Carey (Survivor: Palau - 6th Place)

On a tribe with quite a few women that wound up being duds and four out of the five guys were actually decent characters, being the fifth guy does not help Gregg in this case. When you have American Hero Tom and Dolphinboy Ian and Overcoming Adversity Coby and Fake Mailman Willard, being just a generic alpha male isn't a good way to get noticed. He was the third muscular guy that Koror had, and that, along with his showmance with Jenn, was pretty much the extent of his storyline in Palau. He made the same mistake Burton made in Pearl Islands, where he made it blatantly clear where his alliances stood by taking his two allies with him on reward and leaving the other three alone together to plot against him. As a result, Gregg was booted in a great power shift and went to the jury where he threw bitter words at Katie that he regretted immediately after having voted for Tom to win. He's not great, but I guess he's not bad either. I'm surprised as how little hatred I have for Koror, given how boring they were.


222. Kim Powers (Survivor: Africa - 6th Place)

One of the major reasons Kim ranks this high, despite my hatred of the Mall-Rats, my hatred of clique-y attitude in general, and my dislike of sweethearts, is because at the time I originally watched Africa, I really liked her for being the only tolerable member of the Mall-Rats. While Brandon was annoying, Lindsey was a psychopath, and Silas was an annoying douchebag, Kim was the sweetheart who even the elders seemed to like. Still, her association with that alliance and her lack of entertainment value still hold her back. And she's also held back by the fact that, while Brandon is at fault for completely fucking over Kelly with his stupid decision to side with Lex, Kim P. made things worse the next round when she refused to work with Brandon, effectively killing any chance the Samburus had of making a comeback in the game. She had a few moments after that, like letting Big Tom look down her top, and giving Kim J. one of the only two votes she got, but other than that, not a lot for Africa's sweetheart.


221. Tina Wesson (Survivor: All-Stars - 18th Place)

I'll start by saying this, that Tina Wesson, more than anyone else in the cast, was screwed going into All-Stars. Richard may have had a reputation, but he also had challenge strength and general providing abilities that could help him MAYBE survive the first TC his tribe went to. Tina not only had a reputation against her, but she was already a relatively weak player, the oldest person to have ever won Survivor until Tom, and later on, Bob. Add to that her getting stuck with her nemesis, Jerri, and anti-winner crusader Jenna, and there wasn't a whole lot she could've done to stick around. That's why it sucks to rank her this low, but I have to do it. She was only around for one episode, and in that one episode, she didn't really do much that was memorable, other than aligning with Ethan, the other winner on her tribe, and trying to work with Rupert and Rudy. Sorry Tina. At least Australia's got a way to go still.
