She was artificially inseminated twice, one gave them the twins and the other gave them the sextuplets! Kate wanted fame and fortune like the other people who had multiples. Like who wouldn't want to cash in on that! Kate liked going out on speaking tours and Jon did not, so Kate started going by herself and Jon stayed home with the kids. Kate was outgoing and liked being in the public eye, Jon was shy and did not like being in the public eye. Kate was on the road most of the time, and Jon had a lot of help with the kids and found himself having too much time on his hands. Trouble started when he started hanging out with a 23 yr old and she was sneaking him in the back door of her house that she shared with her brother. The brother heard, well let's just say that he heard more than he wanted to hear, while studying for college. So what did the brother do? Well he did what any loving brother would do he picked up his phone and proceeded to take a cell phone movie of Jon leaving at the crack of dawn to get back home, before any one notice him missing. Meanwhile Kate went through 40 nannies, because she was obnoxious and rude! It seems men are siding with Jon and women are siding with Kate...No surprise there!! OK I have to switch channels, This is all I can take of Jon and Kate...

If the kids are playing in their own living room and there's a camera filming it, are they "working?" I know they do interviews once in a while, but I can't imagine those are any more than ten minutes a pop.

Maybe they get to play, go to fun places and eat, but that's not working. Sure, it's with a camera, but let's face it, the kids don't seem to act any different to it. It sure beats the kids who actually have to act.

Trouble started when he started hanging out with a 23 yr old and she was sneaking him in the back door of her house that she shared with her brother. Uh....I'd say trouble started before that. If there hadn't already been "trouble" he wouldn't have been doing that in the first place.

Can I borrow your calculator, Frankie? 40 nannies / 5 years = 8 new nannies/year - that's 1 new nanny every 5-6 weeks? That's a lot of new people coming and going in a little human life. Isn't that the big argument against daycare - that little ones need a lot of stability in their caregivers? I don't have the 'right' answer. I just know Kate doesn't come across as someone who would be particularly 'enjoyable' to work with/for so lots of people quitting doesn't surprise me.

It is just the number 40 seemed even worse - thinking one at a time. I am guessing if they have a couple per day ... everyday ... they probably have a weekly nanny staff of at least four with days off/etc. I know I wouldn't last long watching those kids with whining (they whine far more than most kids I know), the camera crews on recording everything, Jon wanting it all about him, and Kate micromanaging your every moment. That seems like a job in hell. I think child care workers have a heavy turn over rate. When my oldest son went to a day care/preschool many many years ago - the director and the three main staff stayed the same during the ONE year he went there ... but there were at least 25 different minions there. Someone was always coming and going. I think that the young women thought being with kids all day would be supah fun - but found out it was a lot of work. Actually - the current office* I work in - has a staff of around 40. I transferred there about three years ago - and during that time we have had probably 100 different people there. Then again the clientale and the work is a lot more difficult than people think it is going be. *Edited to add - not that anyone necessarily "cares" ... but it isn't day care - just whiny ass clients. She does have quite the history of chewing up and spitting people out (and I believe Jon has now joined this elite group). P.S. Viva la Jon!!!

Gosselin Split Was Before Scandal PHILADELPHIA - New episodes of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," show the couple clearly apart one month before tabloid reports of affairs with other people. The shows had Jon Gosselin in Park City, Utah when Kate Gosselin was home, while Jon stayed with the kids when Kate went on a book tour to San Diego. "It looks like it's all about me," Kate said at the start of the show, but she said that underneath, it "is all about the kids." But then Kate complained that Jon wasn't home for her birthday because he decided to stay on the snowboarding slopes at Park City. Jon justified his decision by saying he went there to help handicapped children, while Kate said she was sad. However, it turned out that TLC arranged for a trip for Kate and her children to Baltimore to see the cake bakers from "Ace Of Cakes," another reality series. The show seemed to set up a format with each parent spending time with their eight children, but apart from each other. The first footage was apparently shot in late March, at least one month before US Weekly reported Jon's alleged affair with Reading school teacher Deanna Hummel. Kate Gosselin then went to California on a book tour in April, without Jon. Many scenes featured the couple on a couch, with one child propped between the couple. But clearly, the adult Gosselins were leading separate lives before tabloids made their lives "hell," as Kate Gosselin said.
