That was in response to some posters thinking Locke was already "taken over" by Esau in season one. We'd have to know exactly what the loophole is to say with any certainty that Esau began working on John from the beginning.

In the letter he stated that he would but I don't specifically remember him doing that. 2. at Michael gutting the fish and it exploding all over him! 3. Reminded me why the Jin/Sun back story was always one of my favorites--the mystery (and such a more believable one than Kate's). Daniel Dae-Kim did a great job playing the two Jins, the controlling asshole he started out being on the island and the nice guy at the party and when he told Sun he got her father to agree to their marriage. We got just enough of the dots in between the two characters to make me really want to know more, especially since she was planning to leave him. I also loved Michael's face when Sun walked up and said, "I need to talk to you." For some reason, I remembered the Sun-knows-English reveal as happening later in searson one. Some other points: 1. I had forgotten that the Adam/Eve mystery bodies had a pouch with one white and one black rock. 2. Charlie: Oh, and someone left this (handing a bra-wearing Kate her shirt after they escaped the bees). Kate: It was full of bees. Charlie: More like C's actually. 3. Mike having to try to explain racism to Walt after yelling that Korean people don't like black people. It's weird seeing the early episodes and remembering how much I liked Michael--because he became completely irredeemable to me after his double homicide. Last Edited By: yoshi 06/07/09 10:26 AM. It's OK to kill 200 people to save a child, but it's not OK to kill a child to save 200 people? Of course, as you point out, the equation changes when it's YOUR child. When arguing about the death penalty (I'm generally opposed), someone usually throws out the "wouldn't you want to see the person who [killed/raped/both] your [mother/sister/wife] be put to death", my response is "Yes--I would want revenge. Which is exactly why I'm the last person who should have a say in the matter at that point." I think the same point can be applied to Michael's situation.

I guess that's called separating tv and real life. But I didn't separate RL from TV when I understood Michael. I never said I made any sense. ;) I have a question.. I think it was you who posted how much you disliked Jack but always liked Sawyer? Sawyer is a murderer. What makes him so loveable when his mission in life was to kill the man he blamed for the death of his parents? Cooper didn't kill his parents. Even if he had, that happened a LONG time ago. Just bear with me here cuz I am not a fan of that asshole Cooper by any means, just sayin'.. Sawyer was a grown ass man who ended up killing an innocent man because of his childhood issues. It wasn't a sudden, desperate act. So how come Sawyer is redeemable for premeditated murder but Michael isn't redeemable and he killed out of desperation to save his son? For the record, I also like Sawyer. Just wondering why what he did was ok but Michael is much hated. I watched Solitary. Was it ever explained why Sayid told Danielle Nadia was dead? And did we ever find out what secret Locke told Walt earlier on? Or we just assume it was that he couldn't walk before the crash?

And when Michael asks Walt what Locke told him, Walt says, "Mr. Locke says a miracle happened here." To which Michael replies that it's a miracle that they all survived. I don't think it was ever firmly established by canon that Locke told Walt he was paralyzed prior to arriving on the island. As to the Michael/Sawyer like/not like debate: It's not that I disapproved of Michael's actions or approved of Sawyer's, it's just that Michael got uber-annoying (yes, I know, he wanted his son back! but still!) and Sawyer is entertaining! I hated Jack's character because of his arrogance of his answer always being the right one. Even when he was wrong, he was still right. At least Locke was able to admit when he was wrong, but Jack wouldn't. Oh, he might admit someone else was right, but not that he was wrong - and there is a vast difference in the two. Sawyer>Locke>Jack>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Michael
