I won't give up my nightly 11:35 Letterman habit (unless he's on vaca), so I'll watch it on DVR at 12:35. I used to flip to NBC at that time, now I'll just dig into the DVR. No big whoop. Very excited for Andy Richter, and yeah, I'm sure there will be plenty of hilarious skits with them as time goes on. There better be - what a fucking awesome team they were back in the day.

Posts: 4128 (06/01/09 3:10 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I LOVE Dave too so it is gunna be hard...its good for Dave it's like a resurgance of the Late Night Wars I'm definitly gunna watch Conan primarily for the Summer (as long as he's as good as he was) and then really just back and forth between them come fall I really hope that in a couple of years after Dave retires Conan moves back to NY and the Tonight is from NY like it used to be. Open up a new theater downtown or even take over the Ed Sullivan Theater.

From the set previews it looks like Conan will have the same band featuring Max. And woohoo for Andy. So glad he'll be back. Anyone else notice that Conan seems to have had some face work done since he got to LA? He has the look now. I'm wondering if Leno will have the same band with dumb fuck Kevin Eubanks. And what about John? Will he go with Leno too? I've noticed a big decline in John's appearances on The Tonight Show. Leno hardly ever banters with him like he used to. No way could he top some of the ignorant comments Kevin has made. So it will be interesting to see how they change things up for prime time.

But the thing about Conan is he so impressed me during the writers' strike last year (plus when his show was ending, his "Best of" clips were really hilarious) that I feel compelled to watch his live and dvr Letterman. Plus Max/Andy > Paul Shaffer/others on Letterman.

I was once a fan but his Late Night show has sucked for years. That said, I'll be watching tonight since Andy is back and because The Tonight Show isn't supposed to be exactly like Late Night. I don't like Letterman either, but only because that bald musician guy is the biggest douchebag on the planet, a totally talentless musician and hard to look at. He looks like an evil pedophile and he couldn't compose a decent jingle if his life depended on it. If Letterman got rid of him, I'd watch his show. I hear from a personal friend who's worked with Shaffer that he is much more a douchebag in real life than he appears to be on the show.
