It seems to me that people in the "fashion" industry almost prefer gawdy over anything else. Like how Merlon didn't land bottom 2 was beyond me.

Just wanted to join in the discussion because I'm all caught up with all 4 episodes and I love the show! I especially like this cast and I think there are
some talented people there even though some of them might not have delivered great designs every single week. I like Daniella, Merlin, James Paul and Angel. I
like Merlin for his zaniness and he's talented so he can be excused for his eccentricities. Not so sure about that last outfit he designed. He went too
literal. As for Daniella, she absolutely has proved herself one of the best there. Great designs and even though she got a little snide about other
contestants, she has been proiven more right usually. She cast the evil eye towards the pantychrist and BAM, he's gone one week after he crossed her.
I love Isaac as a judge. He's very direct and he slapped that shoe salesman down that last time around. Fern Mallis also is a good judge. With both of them on the panel, they can't go wrong. Kelly Rowland is a lightweight. It's clear she's out of her depth and simply commenting based on personal preference. She always lets Isaac take the lead before agreeing or disagreeing or some vague response. It's nice of them to give her the "hanging by a thread" line so she looks like she's doing something on the show. |

What's the purpose of designing clothes that no one will buy because they'd look like they end of an electric cord with a size 20 ass. I liked the shoes on the show but the version they have for sale not working for me. I found it amusing they dissed the fringe on the sample shoes the designers made but yet had them choose shoes with fringe for the elimination challenge. Just like Issac's remark about a black dress not being what would win the challenge but a black dress ends up winning. If Reco doesn't shut it I can see a mass beat down coming. |

I loved this week's challenge! So true that most women have bought shoes with no outfit to go with them. I think Angel should have won. Her dress was
great. But I'm fine with Reco winning. His dress was cute. I also thought Reco and Angel had the best shoes to work with.
Personally I thought Andrew's design was most mainstream and therefore more wearable and sellable, but I understand why they booted him. If you go by past performance, and it seems they do, who else was going to go? Merlin? Yeah, his dress this week was an abomination, but he's been on top of it every other week. Anna's was the worst of the week imo, but she's also been a front runner so far. They've gotten rid of most of the fodder now so it will be interesting to see how the show ends up. I can see anyone but Johnny or Haven making the finals at this point. |

Am I the only person who absolutely hated Angel's upside-down shirtdress or whatever she called it?
The top part was good...basic white shirt, fine. But that bottom part? Sure, just what every woman wants, something big, crumply and white tied around her ass. Everybody does it...you're outside...it's in-between seasons and you have a sweater, but all of the sudden it's hot out. You tie the sweater around your hips. We all do it for convenience, but then get home and look in the mirror and realize we look like a big fat lumpy pile of crap that way. So why would anyone try to turn that shit into a "look"? |

I was too distracted by the new awful theme-tune to pay attention to the rest of the episode. I miss the "la la la"s

Kenscookie wrote:I didn't hate it, because apparently, the only clothes that matter on this show are things that a size 2 can wear, and I pictured a Hamptons type that is too lazy or "fashionable" to tie two shirts on, but a designer-casual look would be acceptable and cute. Perfect for superficial poseurs. I kept going back and forth on it, because, yeah, it totally looks like something I have done at the beach or in a seaside resort town and pulled off--cute, kind of young and nice for showing off a tan, and it DID look perfect for those shoes. I can also see the "market" for it. I just don't have much respect for the woman who would buy it. I would like the woman who took two shirts and tied them herself though. The designer though? I think she gets points for "will it sell" and for not going too predictably with those red, white, and blue shoes. (Sailor touches, sundress, all 3 colors, etc.) |

I loved Angel's dress. It was quite innovative; and while I, too, said WTF initially... I started to really love what she had done. I also, though many
will disagree, thought it was quite subersively done. I think you could work it in a way that it would not be obvious that it was a 2-in-1

Reco's LBD and Angel's shirt dress were my faves and both are something I could see myself wearing. Angel's looked great for the summer and the
only drawback I had with Reco's is I wished he added about an inch or so to the skirt length for my personal taste. I wish we could see the workmanship
& detail he put into it, though, as it didn't translate that clearly on TV. The comments raved about Reco's workmanship and I really wanted to see
the intricate design. Hated the shoes, though, used by Reco & Angel.
This show has great potential and I think it will grow into itself. The only misfire is Rowlands and I hope she is replaced. Isaac & Fern are definite keepers. If only they could have kept Tim & Heidi, this show would be perfect. |

Did they change it? The lyrics are hard to make out but audaciously bad from what I can tell, "wear it, feel it, just believe it." Barf. That was the old "enjoyably bad" one. The new one from the last episode was just guitarry vocal-less shit that was worse than the first since it doesn't even fit the cheesy opening graphics. As more of a music nerd than a fashion nerd, I noticed immediately (especially since I gradually lose interest in the show after the first few minutes). |

I forgot about the horrid change in music as well but blocked it from my memory. Parts of the video actually went in sync w/ the old theme song in a
wondrously cheesy fashion. Now it is all gone...gone forever
Ratings were WAY up for last week, almost 100% increase over the week before (wtf?): Bravo's The Fashion Show's delivered over one million total viewers last week, the series' highest rated episode to-date in all key demographics, up 78 percent among adults 18-49 and 80 percent among total viewers versus the prior week's episode, according to Nielsen Media Research. "The Fashion Show's" fourth episode posted a 1.19 HH cvg. rating, with 1.32 million total viewers and 802,000 adults 18-49. |

Is this show EVER going to send home another female?? I don't think Keith's dress was good, but compared to the crap Angel sent down the runway it
was. I don't give her a pass just because her design last week was cute-ish...she has had finishing issues for the past few weeks, among other things.
And Reco was robbed. ROBBED!!! His outfit was super-cute...I knew it wouldn't win because the ruffle detail would be too expensive to mass produce. That's my problem with the judging on this show...the designs that deserve it most don't win because they are too detailed, and the ones that have been sent home have not usually been terrible so much as boring. I kinda love the show, but I think I only love it because Project Runway has been missing for so long. Hurry, August...I need a decent fashion fix. |

This is really a race to the finish between Daniella and Reco to be honest.
I loved the facial expression's on Merlin's model though she was LOL worthy. I think Keith deserved to go home though. He's been less than good each week. Angel has been better and had one flaw. I'm glad the show reviews prior outfits b/c it keeps good designers around and cannon fodder out. |

MAJOR <3 TO THE COMPLETE AND UTTER DANIELLA DOMINATION TONIGHT
I have not had a problem w/ a elimination so far James Paul had a weird edit...for the first half it seemed like it was his boot episode and then he vanished. |

ANGEL was so flawless last week and then she sent that piece of shit down the runway. WTF
angel stayed over keith for one main reason, she took a risk last week and it paid off in some respects, this week was horrible but the shirt dress gave her a pass, keith on the other hand was meh for the last couple of weeks and sucked hard in this task thus sending him home. |
