My maiden name was Cox...it had never occurred to me of any possible connotations of my name until in 7th grade my friend's older brother snickered all the
time about my name. Ah, to be blissfully innocent again!

my husband's last name is cox. I asked him where the name came from, and he said his ancestors were farmers, and they used to rise in the early morning
with the roosters.
