I am one of the fiercely loyal Cooktards in here and I defy you to find one single negative post about David after his season where I jumped into a thread to defend him. And Adam ranks below David on my idol favs list, so I wouldn't hold my breath, if I were you, hoping for me to run around Sucks defending Adam. I have no opinion one way or another about Clay as an artist or person as I didn't see his season, and, therefore, I am certainly not running a Clay smear campaign. However, his comments about Adam went beyond where necessary to make his point, and therefore reeked of jealousy and bitterness or desperation. He was not diplomatic. It was uncalled for and beneath him to go there. Other 'significant' former idol contestants either remained neutral or just stated who they preferred, without bashing the other AI8 contestants. Peace.

Lies like Clay Aiken fought with some woman on a plane when in fact he was asleep when she started pounding on him and his big crime was that his foot touched her armrest and he never touched her. Lies like him getting kicked out of AI because he wanted to get Adam to duet with him when in truth Clay doesn't care for Adam's voice and he went there to see old friends and show them his baby boy while he was in LA. Lies like Clay was seen pouring out of a cab, clutching a bottle of Vodka, in NYC with a bunch of drunks, when he was on stage in concert in Wisconsin at the same time. I could go on but I think that's a good start.

Adam retorted with a funny one-liner. Just stick the two queens in a corner and let them snip, then ask them to sing. Clay must sing a song that's less than twenty years old, and Adam must get through his song without shattering glass. Then they can go out to cruise some gay bars. Happily ever after. And I say this with abundant affection for both men.

There will always be rumors about people in the public eye. Some will even end up being true. However, I've heard both Adam and Clay state that the only thing to do is laugh them off with a "whatever?!" attitude. I just wish their damn fans could all do the same.
