We didn't do a spoiler post mortem this season.
One noteworthy thing - TRT come out with the following after epiosde 7 (April 10-12), which convinced many spoiler readers that JT would win. Below is the first post in the TDT thread from spoilers. There also was that preview of JT and Taj in the spider challenge, which convinced many (correctly it turned out) that JT and Taj were in the F4.
Based on that, we shouldn't be impressed with anyone who suddenly jumped to picking JT to win after ep.7. If you got him before the merge - kudos! If you only got him after ep.7, you may be an honest edgicker, but you'll never convince any doubters that you weren't at least influenced 2nd hand by spoiler-readers. Shamrocks who noted something special in Erinn edit ep.1-2, when she was a nobody to average viewers, should also receive kudoes because she was one of the 3 key players in the endgame - last Timbira, last female, penentrated the Jal 3, would have done betetr than Stephen in F2. (Especially the majority of Shamrocks who had her as #2 or #3 pick - we admitted the flaws in her edit but saw something there too.) No spoilers for Erinn either She was suipposed to be 7th or 6th. Only when the CBS web clue for the Finale (Thurs May 14) insinuated the F4 boot would be a betrayal, did some folks picking JT\Stephen F2 place Erinn in 3rd.

Blake, as the loudest anti-Erinn voice, shouldn't you be giving the Shamrocks SOME credit given that your Top 3 for weeks 1-3 was composed of Tyson, Jerry,
Brendan, and Sierra? Nice that you finally picked JT to win ep7 - same week as TDT did.
And I wasn't an Erinn fan AT ALL until her early ep.1 edit. Half the time I posted about her, it was only to respond to haters dismissing any Erinn support as pretty girl bias That gives altogether too much credit to Erinn's looks - geez, she ain't Sydney or Parvati.

I meant it wasn't about Erinn's pregame bio or looks. It was all about the ep.1 editing hints that whispered "this girl is important, she'd
gonna outlast those other assholes and do some damage."
Same way, most who picked JT were fans to some degree. Although as usual among edgicians, the pick usually drives the fandom more than the reverse. People pick JT or Stephen, their ego gets invested, they root for the guy. With Erinn, seeing her edgic potential came before liking her. Though in many ways a pathetic mess, editing told me she'd be much more by the end. And here at least, I was not deceived. |

I had no idea that edgic picked 3rd place.
At least those of us who picked Stephen are humble enough to say, "we blew it." Those who pimped Erinn seem to be patting themselves on the back for her lasting long into the game. Yes, I know Erinn wasn't the "official" pick for most of them, but why keep mentioning the fact that someone came in 3rd? It's tedious. |

Episode 1? Fuck no. Episode 1 consisted of Erinn saying Tyson was awesome, Tyson saying she was a bitch, and Erinn being unable to carry someone before
getting a confessional about how she hasn't gone camping. That shit does not an end-game player make.
Now episode 2, I'll give you, because her trust speech had no real bearing on the rest of the episode, and it seemed so oddly placed. But episode 1 was absolute nothing for Erinn. |

It was pretty obvious after a few episodes that it was JT vs Stephen. I gave an outside chance to Sierra for her great edit in the first few episodes, but
after a while I was between JT and Stephen. It seemed like Ozzy/Yul round 2 and I couldn't figure out which one won.
And even coming from someone who usually doubts people for spoilers, I have nothing to say about Edgic regarding the winner. Many of you figured out JT/Stephen as the top 2 and bravo to you. But to the Erinn supporters that seem to think that because Edgic said JT, they get credit, no no no. You picked Erinn, you lost, no win for you! Next time pay attention to edits instead of making up rules like "Part 1 of the merger" |

So it seems that if spoilers had info about JT possibly winning and were convinced of it in any sort of near majority and edgic didn't pick JT (except for
a handful of exceptional exceptions) that it logically comes to bear that edgic is not being influenced by spoilers.

Stephen had many of the same qualities as other CP winners (as well as ties to the theme) which might have been favorable over JT given the nontraditional editing of Gabon. I would like to know how the consensus arrived at Jenna, since she wasn't CP (and it seems that, barring she and Ethan, edgic really doesn't do well with UTR/MOR winners), especially given how Rob C. would be a tempting pick. Erinn's ep 1 was not any stronger or weaker than Stephen or JT's, so everyone just needs to gtf over it. There's a VERY fine line between UTR2 and
MOR2, especially when you consider that JT and Stephen WENT TO TRIBAL COUNCIL that night and Erinn didn't.

As far as spoilers are concerned, as I mentioned before, the CBS preview shown at the end of the recap episode showed JT and Taj in the spider challenge which was assumed to be the F4 challenge (based on pics of the four puzzle tables). This F4 pic basically told us that the Timbira would blow themselves up and Stephen would probably be in the F4 as well. They did not know who the fourth finalist would be. Actually, a lot of people assumed Erinn would be there because of the shot of a dreamteamer in the challenge, who happened to be a brunette woman wearing a purple shirt. Some clowns actually convinced themselves that was Erinn. |
