Once again, poor Randy is blindsided by the vote, and it wasn't even one of his allies that got sent home. That amazes me. Charlie's still the same old boring gamebot as always, which is pretty lame.

Yep, he was shocked by another vote. This episode was the first time after the merge that he ever voted for the person voted out...

It's good to see Dan realizing that he's not in the best position in his own alliance. Maybe something'll change and Randy won't be sent home. I hope he lasts to the finale, or even the final 2, because that would be absolutely amazing.

Well, he lasted to the finale so we'll see if there's any way he can get to the Final Two from there. But yes, it was good to hear that kind of game-related comment from Dan, and nice that he took steps to ensure Charlie would stay with him.

Dan...why are you even asking about who Paloma would take to the finals? Bitch ain't winning anything. Charlie is a gamebot, telling Dan a lie to his face and then saying he'll blindside him behind his back. I'm so sick of him. So very, very sick of him.

Lol, true about her not being likely to win a final challenge. This is the reaction you were supposed to have to Charlie though so that his blindside would be even better!

Paloma's confessional, does she not remember Gillian...or that she promised final 2 to Jacquie just last episode?

True about Jacquie, not so much Gillian. But I think that she still would have gone to the end with Charlie over Jacquie. Maybe not...

Oh for fuck's sake, and now Paloma gets the sugar-coated sweetheart shit. Pisses me off. Her talking about helping kids build a school is like Joan Rivers talking about her CA charity. She's such a bitch that I don't buy anything she says on the subject.

Oh, I think she is sincere about helping the kids with their school. Paloma is definitely not supposed to be a huge bitch and I don't think she is (in this story or real life), but you are supposed to be rooting against her for this episode. She'll become the underdog in the finale.

Reward is funny because Paloma is absolutely useless, as usual, when she wanted that reward so badly. Such a shame. Too bad, so sad. Randy making a point to sit as far from Paloma as possible is a nice touch though.

Hooray for G.C. winning the reward! It totally makes up for the other African American homeless guy winning the truck in such a horrible way during the real version of Fiji.

G.C. picking Paloma is interesting, but I think it's a smart move because Dan & Charlie kinda have all the power, while going with G.C. allows more power to Paloma as far as decision-making goes. Sending Dan to Exile is also good because him being weaker means G.C. has a better shot at winning immunity. G.C. has really turned up his game in the past two episodes and he's setting up jury votes for himself.

Yep, I agree with everything you said here too. I guess the only potential bad reason to send Dan to Exile is that he ended up doing the Comfort thing like GC did so that kinda backfired. Maybe he should have sent Charlie, but his goal was to weaken Dan...

I'm really hoping you and I have the same result of G.C. in the final 2 at this point, GF.

Charlie's scene pisses me off because it's the typical "I live in the city, but now I'm outdoorsy" crap we got from Stephen in Tocantins, and with Charlie, he's annoying and not even close to being funny enough to make me like him for it.

Yeah, I almost cut this scene out but I thought there had to be something from just Charlie and Randy on Day 34.

I actually like the reward scene. Most of them have been kinda boring this season, no offense, but G.C. having that personal connection due to not living the best life, and Paloma having that personal connection as a missionary really works in a good way. It's sweet to see them both working together to help out the school and enjoying the experience. Hell, I was even happy for Paloma during this scene, and I hate the bitch.

I'm glad to hear this. This is how I felt about it too, although I have to say I still think the Reward scenes have been drastically improved from China and onwards. So I don't think they've been too boring this season, but this one was definitely above average in a lot of ways.

Dan's taking the feast like I thought he would. I mean, from his perspective, he's got the numbers no matter what because Randy/G.C. are still just two people against his Powerhouse alliance of three. It's amazing that Dan gets LOBSTER as his comfort. I mean, I guess it is the last exile island trip of the game, but still, lobster is still pretty fancy. And if he does manage to survive, he and G.C. are gonna be going toe to toe for those last few immunity challenges. Dan's story is one of growth, so that worries me as far as his winning the million dollars is concerned.

Yep, that's definitely what Dan thought. I always thought that the Comfort was supposed to get bigger and bigger as time went on, but from what we saw on the real show, it didn't seem like it ever did. That only seemed logical to me, but it didn't really apply until the last episodes, but yes, they got bigger and bigger meals, probably more blankets and pillows, etc.

I definitely think you're right about Dan's story being about growth, which has been set up right from Episode 1. Can it be the winner's story? Who knows??

And the fix is in, Charlie is officially discussing booting Dan from the game, and even Paloma's going along with it. I'm amazed at just how little of an impact Randy has had on the episode, given how big of a personality he is.

I impressed myself that I didn't have to rely on Randy to be a huge 5 visibility episode in order to make it interesting. The other characters' stories were good enough to make a strong ep.

Glad to see G.C. keeping up his mercenary strategy though. At this point, I don't see any reason why Dan would be able to overcome his disadvantage and not get voted out. There's no other logical choice for these people at this point. Even Randy's little "we need to break up Paloma and Charlie" doesn't make sense because Dan is just as big of a threat, if not more of a threat.

I think, for Randy, it was a good idea and it made sense to him because like he said, now they don't have to deal with a Charlie-Paloma pair at the Final Four, in which case it would have been a 2 v. 2 between C/P and G/R. Now getting rid of Charlie severs Dan and Paloma, and Dan is most likely going to stay in a F3 alliance with R/G which gives Randy a good chance of going to F2 with Dan. So I think this was very logical for him.

The immunity challenge was pretty much average, although Charlie giving the win to Paloma kinda sucked, because it completely ruins the streak of Paloma being an absolute failure in every single challenge.

I know, but it was like she didn't have to do anything herself to win because other people bumped her into that position. So she could still win by sucking at it.

Charlie's having a hard time lying to Dan. Boo hoo. And he's so fake about it, too. That annoys me. Now, I have no idea why Randy keeps having this idea to go talk to people who are getting voted out instead of him. I mean, honestly, he's in a shitty enough position, and whether he's trying to buy jury votes or not, it's just plain dumb to tell someone that their allies are voting them out, because they could flip it back and take out the snitch.

That was definitely a possibility that things could get flipped back on Randy, but the only way he was going to accomplish his goal was by getting Dan on his side and he had to tell Dan he was being betrayed bc Dan would never have just done this first. So it was a risk but Randy was pretty sure it would pay off in the end.

And then Dan says exactly what I'm thinking, lol. Dan confronts Charlie and it really is a tough moment to watch, because it's friends betraying friends. Still, Charlie being such a prick about the whole thing annoys the shit out of me. "Dan accepted it so gracefully." PLEASE let his ass get blindsided.

And yet Dan really does seem to be lying down and taking it, at least for now. Randy telling Dan he'll help him out now is absolutely delicious. I love it, and I love him saying he thinks he could beat Dan. PLEASE let this blindside happen. I don't care how illogical it is, Charlie deserves it for being such an annoying little bitch.

This was Randy's plan all along and it ended up going perfectly, and as I said a few notes up, I really don't think it is illogical at all. It's an almost sure shot at F3, assuming they can just pick off Paloma next.

This tribal council is just disgusting. Hearing Charlie so blatantly talk about booting Dan bugs me on so many different levels. But I have to say that Dan is doing a great job of acting pathetic about the whole thing. Holy shit YES! Charlie getting blindsided is the best moment of the game thus far! Thank you Jesus! Thank you Moses! Thank you Allah! Thank you Buddha! Thank you non-existant corporeal entity! Thank God, the three people I actually like hold all the power in this game, and a good vs. evil showdown in the final 2 would be epic.

Lol at your reaction! I'm glad you were so happy about Charlie being blindsided. It is also my favorite blindside of the season (probably Crystal 2nd, Ace 3rd, Ken 4th). A good vs. evil Final Two would suggest Dan vs. Randy, wouldn't it?

Finally, thanks for your Edgic ratings. I have to say some of them were a little bit different than what I had in mind this episode, but not wrong. There are no right and wrong. I could definitely see why Charlie could get a P for being honest with Dan, but then he also lied to him before and was extremely arrogant in the end, so I think he'd be M or N. And CPs for Paloma and Randy, while I can understand that as well because everyone had some good development in this episode, I would say they were more likely just MOR. But I agree on G.C.'s rating and I could see OTTP or CPP for Dan, so I will just wait and see how other people rate them for the consensus.

YES! The Threesome is done. That was a perfect move by Randy and G.C.. Charlie was the link holding Dan and Paloma together. Basically everything KittyPryde says also applies for what I'm saying. Charlie was getting Cocky and got what was coming to him.

I will ask him this at the Reunion, but yes, at first, he was just going to accept it and let Charlie have his way. Randy had a lot to do with things working out the way they did. Then Dan told Charlie that it was only fair for him to vote for Charlie, and Randy got G.C. to vote for Charlie too. But initially, Dan thought there was nothing he could do (until Randy) and he thought it was an honor that everyone thought he would beat them.

I reluctantly started accepting 0s this season, so as of your post, he was at 3.3% (2 0s, and 1 1). He's now crept up to 11%. I expect him to get into the 20s by the time all the comments come in, but the past two weeks he's been in the 30s (I haven't updated the chart yet). It's weird how numbers sometimes vary like that on the people voted out. I guess it just depends on the voter's mood for some people.

Second place - Dan (Only due to this little sentance right here But it's better than fifth. Too bad. Dan would have won. Would have won? Does this mean that by Charlie leaving Dan doesnt win?

It's a great catch, but I can say for sure that you're reading a little too much into that. I meant that Dan would have won in that situation. Basically, had the Powerhouse stayed in tact, Randy would have been 5th, GC would have been 4th, Paloma would have been 3rd (from Dan winning Final IC) and then Charlie would have lost to Dan probably either 6-1 or 5-2. Paloma would vote for Charlie and maybe he'd be lucky enough to get one other person (ie. either Ace or Ken?).

Winner - Randy (Just a gut feeling I've had. Like many others have stated Good vs. Evil So I think they will be the Final 2. He also had very early Episode 1 scenes. I felt Dans were weaker than his)

Well, as menelaus pointed out, they both had very similar, yet contrasting CP edits and I think that could mean something. Good vs. evil? P Dan vs. N Randy. It could happen and it would probably be the biggest "showdown" possible.

Jacquie - I could see her go either way. Dan for being Likable, Randy for making it to the end

She definitely seems like she could sway either way in most F2 situations. Her vote could be an important one... leaving her with yet another big decision to make?

This episode was pretty good - Charlie's blindsight was awesome seeing as he'd gotten so cocky in this past epiosde. Really enjoyed Paloma and GC on the reward and Paloma finally gets immunity :D.

I did think Charlie was going by the time it got to tribal but that's OK seeing as he'd gotten way too arrogant for my liking.

Yeah, I figured most people would expect that by the end.

As for the final 4, I'm going against what most people want, I think, I'm sooo hoping for a Dan/Paloma win. I found Dan annoying in the real Gabon, but your version of Dan is so much better - I'm really rooting for the guy actually; and Paloma has been my personal favourite since day one - her win would be so WTF it'd be awesome, though it's impossible I think.

I definitely wouldn't say that Final Two is out of the question, but Paloma winning would be almost like Susie in real Gabon. I was shocked that she got 3 votes and considered that she won for a moment. I think for her to beat Dan, she'd have to explain her strategy immaculately and Dan would have to pull an Amanda and act too waffly and nice about his moves.

As for the others, GC is so bland and dull for me, his winning would be so meh, but better than Randy's. Though everyone seems to be enjoying Randy, personally, I can't stand him in your story. His victory would be a win got Kenny and Ace, both of who I couldn't stand, and it'd be a bit like why I couldn't stand Bob's win in the real Gabon, as it was a victory for the Onions..so bascially if Randy wins I'm going to be disapponted, but I actually expect it. Sorry I've gone off the episode but I just thought I'd share my opinion. I bascailyl really enjoyed the episode and was certainly one of my faves this season.

Hmm, I personally don't think G.C. is boring. I actually really like all of the characters in the Final Four for different reasons. I'm not sure that everyone likes Randy. There are a few people who HATE him but I think they can appreciate him for being entertaining, and I'm sure you would even admit that. I understand why his win would be disappointing for you though, so I hope someone else pulls it out in the end.

Awesome. You definitely avoided the pre-finale episode curse. You referred to Charlie as your "decoy winner" in your notes and you certainly had me fooled for most of the season. I'm no Edgic expert, but it a Charlie win would have made sense. That's why I'm thrilled that the Charlie/Dan/Paloma alliance fell apart this episode and Randy makes it to the finale. Dan's not a stupid character, so I was definitely glad to see that when Charlie confessed everything, Dan didn't lay down and die. Instead, he teamed up with Randy. (<3) On the whole, great episode. Looking forward to the finale!!

It's just with his content in each episode and then his Edgic ratings, everything kindof worked out to make him seem like he had the perfect winner's edit. So that was kindof a fluke, but an interesting one nonetheless. Glad you're looking forward to the finale!

I WAS going to say tribal council blindside, but that's not it...This might be really strange, but I loved that G.C. made the schoolkids promise that they would stay in school. Great scene. Great character development.

Thanks for pointing out that line. I liked it too, but I was actually a little reluctant to put it in because (I could be wrong on this) I'm sure a lot of children in Africa *want* to go to school but are unable to because they don't have the money, or they have to work, or the schools are too far away, etc. so that line might not even be accurate. But the thought was there, and it was meant with good intentions.

Crystal - Don't remember much about her interaqct

She was in the Fang alliance with Randy except for when her and G.C. voted out Ace. Other than that, they were aligned together. She didn't have much interaction with Dan since they were only together after the merge and in separate alliances.

G.C. - I predict Dan wins Final IC and takes Randy. Foreshadowed in his "good vs. evil" comment in this episode. GC votes Randy

This would make sense in a lot of ways.
