I thought it was another good episode! In my opinion not as great as the past two, but still had a lot in it. While this post-merge will never be as negative as Micronesia or even Exile Island, I feel like Randy's sort of bringing it into the danger zone with his antics.Thank you. I agree with that about not being as good as the last two eps. And you're right about Randy having some questionable negative moments. I feel like I kindof shielded him in his edit by making his tirade last episode a lot less severe than it really would have been in a real situation, ie. the comments made to Charlie. But overall, Micronesia was definitely a lot more bitter than this season was, that's for sure.
You must have a hoot writing for him, as you can basically have him do anything and say it's part of his character.I really like all of the characters that are left, and I've enjoyed all of them, but it's people like Randy, Crystal, and Corinne that naturally have huge personalities that are generally the most fun to write for. Dan, for example, is one of my personal favorites this season, but he's not as big a personality as the others so I have to work harder to make him more interesting.
I have to admit, it was a bit predictable to see Jacquie go. I feel like GC and Randy were too big characters to get rid of. I predicted Jacquie not giving everyone else visits, though that didn't have as much of an impact as I thought it would, especially with someone as hardheaded as Paloma.Hmm, I thought that Jacquie going would kindof be a surprise in the end, although shewas definitely a major part of the episode, which might have hinted at it. I think Jacquie not giving everyone their visits did have an impact in that it was the first thing that actually did make the Powerhouse consider getting rid of Jacquie, and then Randy/GC exploited that, each separately. Had she given them the visits it's almost certain that Randy would have gone.
I liked how everyone got a little bit of something this episode, even Dan's plotting agains to Immunity win. I think you write strategy so well; I was totally able to follow GC's logic on getting the 3-2-1 vote. Hell, I would've voted for him! And it'll be nice to see how Paloma and Randy react to it. So while the episode was a bit predictable, it was written really well!Thank you. The next episode has something from everybody too, which it should since we're at the Final Five now. I appreciate the comment about writing strategy well. Sometimes I have a hard time with it and think those scenes are just going to be boring, but I'm always pleased that most people seem to like the strategy parts.
Probably the post-Immunity strategy session. Interesting to see everything flip-flop and the blindside that came out at Tribal.Case in point to what I said above.
I'm going to have to give it an 8.Thank you! I'm happy with an 8, and the average so far is higher than I expected it to be. I agree with you that this episode wasn't as good as the last two, but all three of them have averages in the 8.9XX to 9.0XX range. This is the lowest of the three though, but not by much.
What was the actual title for this episode (you can put it in spoiler tags if you want)? I just want it for the Wiki. The reason I left this one undisclosed was not for spoilery reasons (unlike Episode 13) but because I could not think of a good title. The same thing happened with Episode 4. The episode was weird in that it didn't really have anything that stood out as a title, so I decided to go with Apple in the Garden of Eden. This was a title of an episode for the real show; I figured there was some reason I thought of it and that's why it was in my mind. I think it can either represent G.C. taking Comfort or Jacquie being tempted by the Reward Challenge offer, so that's going to be the title. Episode 13's title is a lot better.
Dan's gotten better for me, so I just want to say Paloma.Glad to hear that. I don't think it's a surprise that I've been wanting people to like Dan all season. Paloma was supposed to be very popular earlier on, but now you're kindof supposed to be rooting against her, so that's good...
GC tries to make up to Randy for Jacquie's blindside by pointing out that Jacquie voted against him (kind of like the Debbie vote on Tocantins). While they work together for the episode, GC decides to join up again with Dan and Charlie and they vote Randy out with Paloma.Well it would definitely make sense for Randy to get huge sendoff episode before the finale, so we'll see if you're right.
Thank you very much for your Ep 13 predictions, and for filling out the Popularity Poll!
Thanks again for all of your comments, Mr X819! Great to have you reading after all these seasons, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Hope you enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great day! Only two more to go!!! :)
