I think he claims to have a Christian viewpoint, but everything he portrays as Christian behavior in his movies is waaaay out there.

In "The Family that Preys", the bad wife gets slapped by her husband, and it's supposed to be a moment for the audience to cheer. I'm sorry,

he has created a cottage industry for cross dressing black homosexuals - himself. and he is giving black actors jobs, too. those films make a lot of money.
they are terrible but hey, he found his niche and it's successful.

Madea Goes to Jail was hysterically funny. The funniest Madea movie so far. I look forward to the next one.
Oh, and he's obviously a marketing GENIUS. Even with his TV show, he does the "tyler perry" thing. A few years ago, his movies were really niche, but now, most people know his name. |
